This has been my third time here, a great place to stop over in lovely countryside and not far from the ferry port of Poole. Plenty of parking and safe for motorcycles. Top quality food and real ale, morning breakfast too. Very comfortable. I'll be back soon without a doubt.

We live locally and are regulars which helps but we are treated royally well as are all customers . Particularly the landlord, but all the staff are charming and friendly. Food is much better than the local alternatives and combine that with the atmosphere and feel of the place you are not going to do better!! I look forward to...

I was pleasantly surprised how busy it was for a cold Monday night. We had a glass of wine in the cozy bar area before going into the restaurant. We both enjoyed all three courses. The service was very good, will definitely be going back soon.

Excellent food and service. We were a large party and most of us had pre-booked. Some had the lunch menu and others had the main menu. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and the food was hot and delicious.

Good food, Nice room, Great Breakfast - what more do you need! Staff very nice and efficient. Great selection at the bar that will satisfy most tastes. Free parking directly opposite the pub. Stayed overnight whilst in the area on business and will return as its good value for money.

Chosen as a potential mid-way stop near A303 on a journey down to Devon. No problem parking (Tuesday 1.00pm) opposite The Ship and grassy patch for Spaniel to 'stretch her legs' on a long lead. Interesting menu with good selection, but stuck to just mains as driving. Helpful pleasant service.

2 couples in our 60s stayed 2 nights at this inn, which is attractive, rustic and run by a great team, cheerful, efficient and friendly. Good rooms with comfy beds and ensuites. Nice decor, clean and characterful. The only downside was that it was unusually warm weather and the windows were painted shut. The breakfasts were delicious - really good...
