We chose this charming 16th-century manor house for our wedding (in fact a double wedding) and were absolutely delighted with our choice. The Oak Room was cosy and romantic - ideal for a small ceremony - and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, easily rising to the challenge of staging not one but two weddings with two...

Moretons House Hotel is very well situated by the steam railway and the Castle. The village is small but has two decent pubs which serve good food. The hotel itself is very old with a grand entrance and staircase (no sign of a lift!). The main lounge is lovely with a big open wood burning fire which the staff keep...

Creditably much is provided for the disabled. Many rare and interesting prints about Corfe Castle and the Bankes family. Dining room is elegant but brown panelling and white walls, like other rooms, is reminiscent of the set for "Howard's End". Some judicious colour and better lighting would cheer it up. Food was generally good and Ronnie looked after us very...

We stayed for two nights & the service from the staff was nothing short of excellent. A special mention to Rocelle(i hope that's right) in the bar who looked after us before dinner. The hotel is in a fabulous setting with the steam train passing round the back & as you walk out of the front of the hotel just...

This was our sixth visit in five years to Mortons. We have always enjoyed our stays. The restaurant is excellent. Dinners come up to a fine dining standard. For breakfast there is a decent choice of food and hot dishes are well prepared and served. The room stayed in was clean and comfortable with a lovely outlook. Only glitch was...

This is a lovely historic building with quiet ambience ideal for couples for a long weekend. The standard rooms are adequate but not generous in size due to the historic building constraints. The restaurant staff provide professional excellent service. The food is superb, some of the best we have enjoyed in the UK so hats off to the kitchen staff....

My daughter booked this hotel as a surprise birthday trip for my wife who is disabled, and it didn't disappoint. They cater excellently for those that have accessibility needs. The main hotel is an old Elizabethan building of some character. The owners have added four accessible rooms which are separate from the main house but built in a similar style....

Visited for a birthday dinner on a Saturday night. The hotel is beautiful and creates a great first impression when you arrive. We made our way to reception, and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The dinner was superb, with a great range of options, and a lovely atmosphere in the dining room. Would not hesitate to recommend...

Mortons House Hotel looks wonderful from the outside. The common rooms are all very grand. However, the staff on reception spend more time answering the phone and booking places at the restaurant than attending to the guests in front of them. There was a certain feeling of resentment that we should be taking up their time. When challenged about this...
