A quiet lunchtime drink with my husband. Walking in to the bar, it was obvious the 'night before' had been busy so elements of 'still clearing up' was evident! Pretty Poor practice! We went to the bar and the person behind the bar automatically looked at my husband and asked what he wanted.....on returning with his pint he then asked...

Booked for just a night to attend family celebration meal. Room was large, comfortable, and clean. The meal was very good only criticism was that with our party of 12 some people were served their main course and had to wait for vegetables. Breakfast had a good selection of cereal and cooked food. Staff very attentive and friendly.

Had a family meal here with my two young kids. It was quiet but even so we were not made to feel overly welcome and the whole service seemed to be a bit of a chore for them. Food was ok but relatively expensive and overall the place looks like it could do with a good clean!

I cannot speak highly enough about this atmospheric 18th century hotel. The room was very large with an exceptionally comfortable bed. The large en-suite shower room had all you could need. We ate there on our first night and food was terrific. The whitebait starter had larger than average whitebait and the thyme-infused chicken entailed an amazingly large, and very...

Thought that this was just a local pub. What a mistake. The food was brilliant and very fresh. The local specialities were, of course, fish, but so well prepared and cooked. Absolutely delicious. and great value for money. Will definitely go back. Loved it.

Overpriced menu with mediocre food. The kitchen should concentrate on getting the basics right before offering a menu that they can not execute. We would not recommend this restaurant .There are far better restaurants nearby for standard and price, perhaps the chiefs should visit and sample.

Driving rain made the dog pull us into the front porch and it would have been rude not to come inside the bar. Friendly bar staff and several friendly locals propping the bar up. Good for a chat and a laugh. Its a Palmers pub but is full of charm for a rustic seaside pub. There is also a restaurant...

We visited the Westbay Hotel Restaurant yesterday to celebrate my wife Sandy's birthday with two other friends, the food was out of this world, it is the second time that we have eaten there, & we could not fault the staff or food, the service etc has been very consistent....the first time we went to eat at the Westbay I...

Evening meal with friends started so well with friendly chatty front of house staff Ordered medium steaks which were definitely rare enough to drip blood and quite chewy small portions of chips No one came back to ask if everything was OK or even clear the table until asked was offered complimentary desserts but nothing appealed so we left disappointed...
