Wheelwrights Cottage is a wonderful place to stay! Our room was clean, comfortable, cosy and characterful, and the delightful Sue and Nigel are warm and welcoming hosts, who generously shared their wealth of local knowledge with us. Breakfast, and our cream tea on arrival, were both a real treat.

We have just returned home from a wonderful 4 night stay at Wheelwrights B&B Abbotsbury Dorset. Sue & Nigel are such lovely warm & genuine people. Many thanks for such a warm review, and it's good to know that you enjoyed your stay. You ought to know, too, that the balloon plant is doing very well ! We look out at it every morning from the kitchen window. Sue and Nigel More

A great local experience in a quaint thatched cottage. A warm welcome with scones and cream which was great after our long walk on the South West Coast Path. Breakfast was equally enjoyable as was our chats with the owners who had previously run the local tea shop.

Having walked in the pouring rain from Weymouth, we were warmly welcomed into this lovely B&B with a much appreciated pot of tea and freshly made scones. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! Fully recommend staying here whilst visiting Abbotsbury. Jess & Dave

One of the loveliest B and Bs we have stayed in. Sue and Nigel are such lovely, friendly people and very interesting to talk to. Sue and Nigel are two of the loveliest people we met on our whole trip. They welcomed us into their home and filled us in on the history of the whole town and county. It was wonderful. I was traveling with a 14 year old and one of the best parts was that they spoke to *him* and asked him... More

We stopped at this B&B for two nights. Our room, attached to the back of the main house, had its own front door. This gave one that extra bit of privacy. Access is via the back garden and not through the house. Once upon a time the room was used as the dormitory for apprentice wheelwrights. It is self contained... More

Wheelwrights was the perfect base for our 7-day walking holiday in Dorset. Sue and Nigel provided a warm welcome and fantastic breakfasts that fuelled us on many long walks. Nigel's books on Abbotsbury helped us make the most of exploring the village. Abbotsbury has an excellent sub-tropical garden, swannery, craft shops, tea rooms, and eateries.
