We were recommended this place for Sunday lunch, however, were a little let down by the decor inside, and the appearance/dress code of some staff. Also, gravy was poured by carver when serving meat so would have liked more over veg etc. Saying that the food was very good, just premises need updating.

A little rough around the edges but food was very good for the price we paid. I was surprised to notice one of the kitchen staff drinking a pint of lager behind the bar and then later restocking the carvery. Still, can't complain when some other local pubs are fully booked and charging half as much again for lesser quality...

We have visited this pub many times whilst on holiday. The pub has a very varied menu whether it's for lunch or dinner. The Carvery is fantastic. They have 3 different roasts on offer. Turkey, Pork or Beef, a whole selection of vegetables, potatoes, parsnips, stuffing and Yorkshire pudding. You can even ask for all three roast meats if you...

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting the surrounding area, with breakfast included. When we arrived we walked into an open pub area that felt very unfinished. We were quickly shown to our room by a pleasant man who also gave us all the information we needed about breakfast hours etc. The room was clean and tidy, albeit very...

This is a pleasant country pub. Clean, friendly and unpretentious. There are good choices on the menu and we have yet to be disappointed by anything we have ordered from it. Our favourite meal, however is their carvery. The meat is always excellent quality, the array of fresh, steamed vegetables impressive. There are always steamed, new potatoes, in their skins...

This is a great carvery. The food was really hot and fresh. The staff were helpful and kind. The choice of meet and veg were good. The prices were reasonable too. Rooms available to stay if required. Would visit again.

What a lovely meal. Piping hot, fresh vegetables and a large choice. My plate was absolutely full. It was a really tasty meal. The only downside was the meat was carved wafer thin and I could almost see through it. Will definitely give it another go :)

went to this carvery as it was at the top of the road from where we were staying. The whole restaurant needs updating. You got enough meat and could help yourself to vegs. The vegs were ok would of helped if they were covered up as some were drying out. The gravy was put on meat , but not on...

Our party of 12 ended up going to Fortescue on Sunday 23rd October as the old mill in woolacombe was packed. First impressions....the car park is ridiculously small and I struggled to park. From the outside it looks nice but inside is lovely and bright. We were told that there was a half hour wait so we decided to have...

It's great to happen upon a hotel that doesn't rip you off charging for your dog to stay with you. The Fortescue has very friendly staff and is clean + comfortable enough+ reasonably priced. On the downside, though there was no hotel information in the room + no handles to the bath/ shower. The hotel is a bit dated. Thank you...
