Today (12 Feb 2016) I nipped in to The White Hart initially because I needed the Loo!!! Decided I better eat as I knew I wouldn't cook when I got home. Ordered the Scampi & Chips in a basket for £5.50. It was superb: the chips were a light golden colour and cooked to perfection! The Scampi was equally well... More

Staying nearby for the night we needed somewhere for an evening meal and popped into this local pub and were pleasantly surprised To start with there is plenty of convenient onsite parking and then the pub itself has been completely refurbished to a high standard while maintaining an old world atmosphere. There was a varied menu and specials as well... More

My wife and myself along with her parents ate here last night. Mum had freshly baked home-made Cottage Pie - wonderful, Dad and Iz had the Hunters Chicken - very tasty, and I had Fish and Chips - scrumptious. We understand that new management are taking over now now. My advice to them would be to keep the food just... More

We stayed at this venue over night en-route to our holiday. Being on the main road, it was ideally placed and there are car parking facilities on site. The draw back being that the noise from passing traffic cannot be ignored. The room was adequate for our needs, though a little chilly. Tea and coffee making facilities were well stocked. bathroom... We recently visited on a fri nite, it was quite busy and there didn't seem enough staff working to cover the needs of the customers! The lady behind the bar seemed very nice, we ordered fish and a pasta dish, the fish was over done and the pasta sauce was off as it was made from cream! I asked to... More

We stayed for two nights, 16th and 17th September, 2015 whilst visiting family who live in the area. Service was good, staff very friendly and helpful. The room, which is one of three, at the front of the property, was clean, warm and comfortable and the all white linen and towels were spotlessly clean. The bathroom was also clean, however,...
