We had a wonderful week end. The guest house is an attractive converted farmhouse. Quite hidden in the countryside, but reached easily with directions from our host. We visited South Milton, Lynton and Lynmouth, Exmoor. Dulverton village, Dunster Castle and Minehead ad Exmoor. Great for walking. Very comfortable bedroom and excellent food. Bev and Neil are very helpful and friendly....

We were looking for somewhere that offered dinner, as well as b&b, and Sampson Barton certainly met all our wishes. Quiet location, beautiful garden, and fantastic accommodation overall. Our room was very comfortable and very clean. The guest lounge, with wood burner, is beautiful - look at the photos on the website. We particularly liked the honesty bar where you...

This is one of the most relaxed places I have been to. Bev the hostess makes you feel v welcome. There are no pressures and it is comfortable and well appointed. Neil is the cook and he produces wonderfully interesting and imaginative flavours for the variety of all the three courses to excite the pallet. This truly was some of...

Thanks so much for the great review. We're so pleased you enjoyed your week with us as much as we enjoyed having you. The gamboling lambs are more like teenagers now, strutting around the place rather than having races and playing with each other! So pleased that you enjoyed Neil's creations from the kitchen as he puts his heart and...

We are not seasoned B&B users and are always a bit apprehensive about staying in people's houses! However, no fear regarding Sampson Barton. Fabulously cosy and traditional, Neil welcomed us upon our arrival and invited us into the wonderful residents' lounge. An inferno of a log burner instantly warmed us up, and we were left to chat with two new...

Neil and Bev were great hosts. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was superb We would definitely stay at this B&B again. The views from our window were of the sheep grazing in the field and we were welcomed by chickens, a duck and not forgetting Fred the dog. A great rural location
