Stopped here for some food and was very happy with our burgers! They're dog friendly so we sat out the back with our dog - although they do have chickens wandering around so you might still need to keep your dog on the lead :) if you drive you'll have to get through the narrowest of lanes to get to...

We ate at the tower a couple of times whilst in Slapton for a week at the end of May. The beer festival was on and the atmosphere was brilliant. The quality of good is exceptional as well. My only criticism would be portion size - not very big. My husband was far from full after either visit unfortunately. If...

We eat here as much as possible, mostly on special occasions. The food is amazing. From the burgers to the roasts....I would recommend everything on the menu. The location is great, the staff are friendly and professional. A special mention for Connor, one of the best waiters we have ever had. We will continue to come here for all our...

My wife and I have just spent a couple of very enjoyable days staying in Slapton at the Tower inn. The Inn is tucked away close to the village church and is very easy to find. If you own a large car you'd be advised to drop your bags off and park in the park and walk which is only...

We were just wandering through and found this pub tucked away in a corner. This most striking feature was the genuine helpfulness and pleasant attitude of the staff. We were not planning to eat but decided to have the fish of the day with vegetables. Not cheap but worth every penny, superb flavour perfectly cooked. The choice of beers and...

Camping just along the way on the outskirts of Slapton village & saw the Beer Festival sign! Sunny day, beautiful old unspoilt pub, good background music, Pimms, Cider, hay bales in the cobbled yard & bunting galore! Fabulous. So fabulous we stayed until 6 (dogs very welcome too), chatted to some strangers, booked dinner, popped back to freshen up &...

We took some French friends here as we wanted them to experience a real olde worlds pub. This place really delivered. The narrow entrance started things off - Jean-Pierre guiding me through with about an inch to spare either side. The atmosphere at this pub is great and the staff are super-friendly. The food was tasty and served nicely and...

We stopped here 3/4 of the way through a long walk in Devon. The location is spectacular, and the history of the Tower fascinating, but best of all was the great lunch-sandwiches of thick slabs of delicious bread, chutney, cheese and country ham. Perfect spot to refresh on a long hike
