Wonderful stay in the self contained cottage. The hosts Maxine and Chris were friendly and helpful especially in recommending area restaurants. Great place for exploring Dartmoor Forest and is very accessible to Cornwall. We will certainly visit and stay again.

Lovely clean place to stay, nice old building with a lot of character, superb breakfast, out side could do with a tidy up but the hosting is five star, we have been twice now and would happily stay again. Thanks Maxine.

This lovely quaint village nestled on the edge of dartmoor national park houses a fantastic bnb "the old school house". We were greeted by our hosts and shown to a comfortable room and given local advice on where to eat. The bed was comfortable and breakfast in the morning was all local and handmade produce. A+ on your school report.

We stayed in the self contained self catering part of the Old School House, there are also a number of rooms in a part of the building for B&B . The place is amazing. It is a brilliant conversion of an old building into modern accommodation that doesn't lower any of its charm. The inside is immaculate with a large...

Needed one-night accommodation in the area and was pleased to see that the Guest House had space as it looked just right for us. Our room was very pleasant and the extra little touches like the hand-made soap are most welcome. Agree with everyone else reviewing about the delicious breakfasts and so much attention to detail. Really filled us up...

This is a very well managed business. Maxine and her husband are also professional caterers and take pride in serving up local produce at breakfast. They're also the perfect B&B owners - happy to explain stuff to you and help you get your bearings, but not OTT about it either. The rooms are quiet (it's in the middle of nowhere,...

A perfect place to explore Dartmoor from. Mine hosts are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. The guesthouse is beautiful and the breakfast was fantastic! A very quiet, peaceful stay. The village is very picturesque, the local pub has good food & ale, wish we had time to stay longer.

What a lovely place, stayed here as an overnight stop on our way to Cornwall and we wished we could have stayed longer. Maxine & Chris were very welcoming hosts and our room was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was lovely with both home made and locally sourced produce. Would definitely return.

A lovely warm welcome from great hosts whose knowledge of the area made our short visit worthwhile. Our room was large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts using local produce were perfect. A great location convenient for the lovely villages of Dartmoor and also for easy access to both Devon & Cornwalls coast. The Old School Guesthouse is full of character...
