We booked a night at Buckland Tout Saints at the last minute and were delighted that they had a room available. We arrived harassed after a busy week and immediately relaxed after meeting the wonderful reception staff. Our room was at the back of the hotel overlooking woods. It was spacious, comfortable and above all very quiet. The only sound...

A short break whilst we visited some attractions in the area this place could not in my view be bettered. The welcome was warm and friendly and we were taken to our super room-room 8 in case your interested. A very impressive room both in size and comfort. We had booked a dinner bed and breakfast option and enjoyed pre...

Stayed here on business. Wonderful hotel. Lovely grounds and the building is stunning, the wood panelling of the interior gorgeous. Staff could not have been more helpful- possibly too attentive as the hotel was quite quiet when I stayed. Rooms are good, although slightly tired in places but this did not detract. Breakfast served from 8 which is quite late...

Oh dear. Where to start? I live less than two miles from this hotel and took my chap here for an anniversary treat. Four years ago, when we first met, he brought me here for our first romantic dinner and now I wanted to bring him back. Four years ago our dining experience was so bad the Manager ended up...

Booked a two night stay and the first surprise was an attic room with lots of stairs to negotiate and no lift. This caused difficulty for my partner, and for others staying there. Had we been made aware of this prior to booking, we would never have booked. Next surprise was no shower, just a bath, and the bathroom was...

Visited for a Devon cream tea, place looks impressive, well away from the town in a lovely secluded spot. Beautiful terraced gardens. Sadly whilst the waiting staff were really polite they clearly hadn't received the best of training and a certain amount of confusion was evident in the ordering, clarification and enormous delay in being served. Sadly the smell from...

We booked a 2 night stay, but enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night. The staff are lovely, and made us and our dog feel really welcome - a sausage for the dog each morning went down extremely well. The rooms are superb - we'll definitely be back again - thanks for a lovely few days.
