Really enjoyed my stay here. Wanted a quiet romantic get away with my partner and this delivered. We stayed in the Redstone room and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and the fantastic bathroom. The breakfasts were fantastic and Rachel was really lovely, and booked us into fantastic local restaurants for our evenings. She also gave us great ideas for places to...

Bev met us and made us feel welcome. What a lovely lady! She gave recommendations for an evening meal and booked us in at a local pub. Her breakfasts were also top notch. The owners, Dan and Rachel, said hello when they got home from work in the evening. We were the only ones staying so had the place to...

My husband and I stayed in the wonderful Redstone room. The two nights we stayed, we slept so well and we really loved the jacuzzi bath for two. Bev and Rachel made us feel so welcome, helping us with ideas of where to visit and where to eat (the Royal oak pub food was great and good value for money)....

The first of three B&Bs we stayed in recently. Higher Riscombe is everything I could have hoped for and moor. The room and bathroom were spectacular. Breakfast was simply amazing I will definately be returning as soon as possible. The standards here put many 5 star hotels to shame.

Stayed in this B&B for two nights while exploring a little of Exmoor. The room was fantastic with massive comfortable bed, robes, super soft towels and all very clean and modern. The ensuit bathroom was also very impressive with large Jacuzzi bath along with a walk in shower. Breakfasts where very nice with fresh fruit available along with well cooked...

We spent 5 very comfortable days here. The hosts are friendly and considerate and are very eager to ensure guests are happy. The farmhouse benefits from a number of small touches; a fridge, irresistible organic bathroom products, quality and variety of breakfasts, access to local literature including maps and an unbelievably comfortable bed. Being in the heart of Exmoor the...

We enjoyed 2 nights at this bed and breakfast accommodation. Our room was booked on the internet and we opted for the cheaper room (about £70 per night). The room itself was clean and comfortable but we would suggest one or two extra facilities such as a wall mirror (there wasn't one in the room) , arm-chairs to relax in...

I booked a stay at Higher Riscombe after looking for a luxury B&B roughly on the way from Cornwall to Bristol and was really impressed with the look of the place and the way it was advertised on its excellent website. We are both relatively young and like modern, contemporary decor and this looked exactly that! We booked the Beacon...

Stayed for just 1 night, shame it couldn't have been longer! Room was lovely, very high spec, best towels we've ever had in a B&B and we've stayed in quite a few! Lovely breakfast (inc fresh strawberries!) and beautiful setting. Would highly recommend this one. Rachel said that they had only been running it as a B&B since last July,...

Rachel and Dan provide a great welcome. The rooms are finished to a high spec. Our Redstone room had an enormous bed with mattress toppers and good quality bedsheets. However being one of the first guests, it seemed it wasn't quite ready yet. The TV was boxed in the wardrobe and no DVD player. The huge bathroom was stunning though,...

“We stayed in the most expensive, superior room - Large with a good bathroom and Jacuzzi. The intermediate room would be a good choice if you didn't want the added benefit of the super-bathroom”
