We discovered this small boutique hotel on the North Devon some time ago and vowed to return, however it seems so popular that we hadn't been able to find dates available that we could make. Finally success, a 5 night stay in Autunm just as the trees were turning. We found the hosts Huw and Sam, charming and helpful as...

Highly recommend this hotel - so different from all the others. Hue & Sam are excellent hosts and the whole place has an air of friendliness & cosiness. The rooms and décor and beautiful, the food is simply lovely. Service, food, location = tops.

Lovely small hotel on outskirts of Exmoor. Pristinely clean, good facilities. Good home cooked food with plenty of choices. Restfull places to sit & read. Hosts Sam & Huw are great & nothing seems too much trouble. Hotel is approached by long narrow lane & turn in through gates is fairly tight so don't bring your large cars! Quite isolated...

We just love this hotel, it is a little gem. Tucked away, so peaceful it is a real retreat. The staff are all lovely, never met a grumpy one. The food is always good, nothing fussy or pretentious, just good. The house and furnishings are beautiful, lots of country house style. Can't praise the place enough, we rarely go anywhere...

We had the smallest room in the hotel but it is was fine. Included king size bed and walk in shower. Good location for North Devon coastal paths and close to many attractions. Pretty hilly all around. You do not go far without steepish descent or ascent. We stayed half board and breakfast and dinner excellent. Service from the owners...

Our second visit and once again it was a fantastic experience. Sam and Huw provide an excellent service at their North Devon hotel where everything is beautifully presented and managed. The food, room, bed, bathroom facilities and staff are all first-class and guests are made to feel very special. We have already booked to return next year.
