We stayed two nights and every thing was perfect. We saw the woodpecker on the bird feeder, just as Gillian said we would. The breakfast was one of the nicest I have had.We stayed in the end room overlooking the River Lyn on one side ,and the gardens on the other. The Staghunters Pub is about ten minutes walk and the Rockford...

We stayed at Meadpool House for two nights recently, and would have loved to stay longer. As other reviewers have said, it is a wonderful place to stay. Ian and Gillian gave us a very friendly welcome, and were so very helpful. We had a lovely very large room, which was twice as big as at most places, with a...

From the moment we pulled up outside we knew we were going to be in for a treat. The house is down a very pretty, quiet lane and sits in lovely, flower-filled gardens, with the East Lyn, one of Exmoor's famous salmon rivers, running through its grounds. We stayed in the spacious twin room with en suite shower, a comfortable...

We went to Meadpool with my partner's brother and his wife who have been many times before. It was absolutely delightful. The location is beautiful. The garden is so attractive with lovely flowers and a constant view of wild birds pecking at food placed out for them. At the bottom of the garden is the river which could be seen...

We had all of the comforts of home, but better, because Gillian and Ian are superb hosts and made my special day extra special. On...

We have stayed many times at Meadpool House; on one occasion we booked all the bedrooms for a few days for family gathering. When you arrive Gillian and Ian greet you with a delicious afternoon tea and cake which, if the weather is good, you can enjoy it sitting next to the river which runs along the bottom of their...

What a perfect choice we made when we booked in here. Our hosts were friendly and very helpful, the food was excellent, and the room was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. We opted for the most expensive room as a treat for one night but we ended up staying three. Views on three sides included an ideal one over the...

“The B&B also has double rooms - we had a peak and they looked lovely, clean, bright and comfortable looking. All you can hear from the rooms is sheep baa-ing, hens clucking and the gentle tinkling of water from the river.”
