On reaching oceans, found the owner to be very friendly. Explained about breakfast time ect then showed us to our room. We found oceans in a perfect location not far from the town or the sea.The only thing I would say that was a bit disappointing was the breakfast. But that is because when you book in to a hotel you... To say we were disappointed with our stay at Oceans in Dawlish is an understatement.. I actually wanted to cry when we were shown to our room. The window was broken & the glass was so dirty I wouldn't think it had been cleaned for years, the wallpaper was peeling from the ceiling & just hanging there, the room was... More

We recently spent an enjoyable 2 nights at the Ocean's on a long weekend, after finding it on Booking.com. We were greeted at the door by the friendly owner, & I immediately loved this large & labyrinthine gothic building which sits impressively on the sea front, where it has fine views - & with all the pretty shops, tea rooms... Stayed 27 to 28 October. Checking in and out very easy. Good location for staying in Dawlish. Good walking in both directions, with Dawlish Warren nearby. Local shops and pubs nearby. Would stay again.

My wife and I stayed here for one night recently, we were greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to our ground floor room No 10' I'm sure the Prime Ministers room is much more luxurious but this room was fine for us, a bit dated, but that's how we like it. The bed was one of the most... More

We. Stayed in a comfort sea view room, which was exactly as it says. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, the hotel is dated and could do with a refurb, but we were still pleased with our choice. The breakfast was only a make do affair with no cooked option, but it did fill a gap, over all we had... More

Well, what can I say that hasn't been said. My husband panic booked this "hotel" for a 2 night trip for my 50th birthday. Booked and paid before checking TripAdvisor - big mistake! The room was average - tidy enough but the bed was uncomfortable, the only mirror was a mirror tile, the "wardrobe" was a rack, there was carpet... More

Not much wrong with this place. Great location and we were able to park ok. Our room was a bit of a trek, up in the roof, but with sea view on both sides. Continental breakfast was fine for us with nice ham, cheese, boiled eggs and cereals. The lady running the place couldn't be nicer.
