Arrived Friday 26th around 8pm.Parked the car and didn't use it again til leaving today,Sunday. Greeted by Nikki, very friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. Had to stay in Dawlish for a night, this was a really good place. Nikki was brilliant, friendly, a trifle noisy, and GREAT fun!!! Comfortable rooms, and great breakfast. Highly recommended! More like a guest house than a B & B.

In need of a decent nights sleep and a hot shower after a weeks camping with 11 kids we were passing Lyme Bay and spotted a vacancy sign. We were greeted with a warm smile by Nikki who made us feel very welcome. Our room was clean and comfortable with all the little touches you appreciate - tea, coffee, toiletries....

Lyme Bay House is situated within a very short walk to Dawlish Town Centre, Dawlish Railway Station, a National Express bus stop and Stagecoach bus stops. We are within a few minutes walk from Dawlish Beach, Brunel’s famous sea-front railway viaduct, the Black Swans of Dawlish and The Lawn & Gardens. The same Dawlish that was much loved by amongst others, Charles Dickens, Agatha Christie and the poet John Keats. Just a short stroll away there are shops, Tea Rooms, Coffee Shops, the famous Gay’s Creamery and several pubs. Lyme Bay House is an ideal location for train-spotting, golf, cycling, walking and bird watching. It is also very central for exploring the area by car, train or bus including Exeter, Powderham, Starcross, Cockwood, Dawlish Warren, Dawlish, Holcombe, Teignmouth, Shaldon, Newton Abbot, The Teign Valley and Dartmoor.
