Myself and three friends, two from Tavistock and one from Torquay, had been threatening to meet at Two Bridges for some time. A really attractive setting and almost a mid-way point. We settled on a Thursday in Mid February. A table was booked for lunch in the restaurant. We arrived in warm sunshine and received an equally warm welcome from...

Although not having had a bad experience in the previous December. The breakfast being rather below par. We return again . Atmosphere in lounge as always delightful. The evening meals were excellent and we frankly couldn't do them justice. Breakfast fantastic .Poached eggs to perfection. The girl waiting tables was lovely so attentive.. Thank you for your kind words, I am very pleased that you found the hotel relaxing, and treated yourself to an afternoon tea. This is a lovely, traditional-style hotel in the heart of Dartmoor, ideally located for exploring the region. Situated in a sheltered spot, as the name suggests, beside two stone bridges over the river Dart, the hotel is tastefully furnished to reflect the hotel's Edwardian character. Comfy leather sofas, log fires, copper warming pans and a warm welcome await. Your dog...

We had a lovely stay, the staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The food was really professionally done - good food, well cooked, not too big on portions. The building is a lovely oldy worldy place with granite fire place and big sofas. Jail ale was a great pint and the geese loved our leftover toast -...

We booked here for my wife's birthday, it is a lovely location and very clean. Our reserved table was in the main dining restaurant but we had pre lunch drinks in the lounge, perfect and relaxing. We ordered fish and chips which were lovely, nice light crunchy batter, which I recommend to all. However Mother in Law ordered the Sausages...

I am very disappointed to hear that the sausages and mash were not to your liking, this dish is a firm favourite on our lunch menu and is always very well received.
