We have been using the Oratory for business travel in the area and it has served our purpose perfectly. The accommodation is self contained with own entrance and comprises of one large bedroom and a luxury bathroom accessed through a private entrance with a hallway to take off muddy shoes etc. The bathroom has a large bath and separate shower...

My wife and I stayed in The Oratory for a few nights and the accommodations were excellent: spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The host, Chris, was pleasant and very helpful. A truly great value and a perfect base for exploring Dartmoor.

Dear Maureen, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and feedback on your recent stay with us. We do regret to hear that your check in didn’t go well, we had discussed with you my phone that on that day in question due to an important prior commitment by our wonderful cleaning lady that the...

I wanted a couple of days away on my own to chill out and chose the Chapel Annexe as larger than the usual B&B room, for the beautiful roll top bath and the continental breakfast in the room that I wouldn't have to get dressed for. This place is perfect from a friendly welcome from people and cats to the...

This lovely family came to our rescue after arriving in Princetown and finding our original bunk house accommodation not up to human standard. We stayed in The Beeches which is a home from home, nice and clean and fully equipped. There is parking at the rear and also at the front. A short walk to the shop and the pub....

Our running club have been lucky enough to use the oratory and beeches as our base during the weekend of the dartmoor discovery for many years now. The hosts are very accommodating and friendly. The oratory is a lovely annex to the main house and is very comfortable and well equipped. The bathroom is beautiful and relaxing :-)

We were delighted to find this place. A very large room with ensuite so we had plenty of space to stash our panniers. Parking available on the layby right outside. Light breakfast is provided but there is a microwave, toaster and fridge. Brand new bathroom with a bath!

We thought we had booked bed and breakfast as we were staying in the Oratory (booking through an intermediary site), but we got there we discovered we had booked room only and our room had a fridge and microwave and dining table with cutlery and crockery for 4. We discovered we could have bought a continental breakfast basket, but as...

Lovely place to stay, felt warm and welcome. Lovely roll top bath in an amazingly spacious bathroom. Our 7 year old daughter left her very special dinosaur, the owners very kindly sent her back ASAP. Definitely going back to. Great selection for breakfast and nice that we could just help ourselves when we wanted. Our children particularly enjoyed the cookies...
