Staff were very friendly and our room was spotlessly clean. The selection of loose leaf tea was a lovely addition to the standard tea/coffee. Towels, linen and robes were of great quality. Ate both dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were of a high standard, with generous portions and friendly service. Expected to have a change of towels...

Great place, old world charm with modern, clean twist. Food very good, service too. We live in London, but this is eyewateringly expensive. Worth it? Yes. Only downside for this money is a very limited dinner menu, with just three items on both courses.

We were looking for an intimate venue for our wedding, when we came across 22mill st. Once we decided our big day would be held there, we sampled the menu several times before our wedding day and each time the food was fabulous. Despite a change in management during our wedding plans we were overjoyed that our new maitre de...

We really enjoyed dinner here, the menu is interesting and the staff are attentive. However the bedroom is overpriced and the macerator toilet in the small shower room is noisy. Would recommend dinner here.

Lovely restaurant, great food but let down by a room that doesn't really warrant such a high price tag. The french manager Herve was absolutely fantastic, very friendly and could not do enough for us and is certain to put this place on the map.

Potential, and website was what drew us here, rather than more corporate hotel 30 metres away. Waited ten minutes at reception, despite ringing bell and phoning. Room lovely, bed very comfortable and king-sized. Shower/toilet room tiny, with part-used toiletries, v wobbly loo seat and noisy macerator whenever tap turned on. Great ipod dock, teas and coffee but no milk available...

In Chagford 5th October we decided to have at lunch 22 MIll St on a rather rainy day. We were welcomed by a very personable Frenchman called Herve in the lovely surroundings of the restaurant. We enjoyed a delicious lunch complimented by a good wine selection from Herve. The food exceeded our expectations and we will definatley dine there again...

We stayed September 12th & 13th and found the stay to be wonderful. Herve, the manager, was an absolute delight and made our stay most comfortable. He is a very hospitable and charming host and is a great addition to the hotel. The food was top rate. It was beautifully prepared and was just the right portions, not too much...

Stayed at 22 Mill St, Thursday, 13th September. Had a great welcome from Herve, the manager. He is a very sincere and welcoming person and went out of his way to accommodate us. The service was excellent, the food in the restuarant was delicious, well balanced and well presented. Restuarant was cosey, warm and laid back. The wine was enjoyable,...

Karla was a great host, friendly and made our stay here feel special. Ashley's food was amazing and we both enjoyed our taster menu, being one of our favourite meals/experience's to date. The area was stunning and had a lovely time wandering around the local shops. We really enjoyed our break and would certainly come back again. Thankyou :)

“two to choose from.... both lovely, 'the moors' is a larger room than 'the green room'.”

“Both rooms overlook the road although very quiet looking onto bowling green.”

“this is a small hotel and all the rooms here are comfy, clean, modern with a country charm. The beds are amazingly comfy with that luxurious feel. Had a great nights sleep-overall great stay!!”

“You only have two rooms to choose from, but they charge the same for both, despite one being billed as "superior" and so ensure you get the Moors room and not the Green room which is considerably smaller with no drawers or anywhere to sit.”
