Traditional Country Pub. Comfortable bedroom with thoughtful extras. Very good breakfast. Great pub dog! Dinner OK but nothing special. Great local atmosphere in the friendly bar. Superb location in the village square. Definitely a good place to stay.

Bike security not ideal in alley at side of inn but gate locked. Being a Saturday evening, live music in bar until 11:30 pm. Meal filling and adequate/average. Breakfast excellent. Beer choice very good.

Ring O'Bells is a nice location for visiting Dartmoor. It is located in the North of the National park in a friendly village. We had a well equiped very clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was good and the friendly staff made us feel at home.

Came for Sunday lunch today 30th April. Bar man was very off hand, bordering on rude to us. He just didn't seem to care less. So we both agreed that with that sort of welcome we had absolutely no wish to spend our money there and went to The Three Crowns where the welcome could not have been more different.

We stayed here overnight with our dog and enjoyed every minute. A warm welcome, helpful friendly staff, a lovey comfortable room and an enjoyable meal with Dartmoor beers. We had walked from Bovey Tracey, about 16 miles, so the welcome, hot bath, lovely food and beers/wine were most appreciated. Following a great sleep, a nice full breakfast was presented before...

After visiting great houses and driving across Dartmoor, we received a wonderfully warm welcome at the Ring O'Bells in Chagford. Nice room, terrific cookies, sweet pub dog, really welcoming staff! A traditional pub, as we like them, very good food for dinner and breakfast. Strongly recommend

Had an appointment at Exeter Hosp. so decided to make a mini-holiday out of it as we were coming up from Cornwall. This is a real 'locals' pub, but we instantly felt part of the family. The bedroom was lovely, with a little 'dining-room' off it; dinner was really good and the breakfast menu was to die for! And oddly,...

WE went there at lunch time and for a snack found that there was good beer, good food & good service would definitely go back again and have a full meal. Don't sit by the door though. It bangs every time some one goes in or out

Have been visiting this place on and off for many years when visiting Chagford and though the food is very nice, chef delivered ours himself, the beer is virtually undrinkable and the two male bartenders unpalatable! Plates were removed before we finished and when I complained I was told that we had finished and he needed to get the table...

This B&B is a pub with accommodation upstairs, that fronts onto the main square in the centre of Chagford. The rooms are nicely furnished, quiet and comfortable, and adjoin a large common area with books, a large table, etc. The breakfast was excellent - poached fruits, yoghurt, cereals and several cooked options. Staff are friendly, and the pub itself serves...
