#4 of 9 B&Bs / Inns in Buckfastleigh
Travellers' Choice
Small family run country hotel in a convenient location on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park. Recently under new ownership and fully renovated, Furzeleigh Mill Hotel retains all the charm and character of the 16th Century former mill building. In between the ancient towns of Buckfastleigh and Ashburton and a stones throw from the historic Buckfast Abbey staying at Furzeleigh Mill provides you with a good base to tour South Devon, the South Hams and Dartmoor itself. The hotel has 10 ensuite rooms, a very well stocked bar and a restaurant situated in the former mill room which serves great food from a regularly updated, seasonal menu. The south facing garden and new terrace has lovely views up the valley and is perfect for enjoying a meal or cocktail in the sunshine. There is also parking on site.

A fantastic venue for a Big Birthday celebration! Everything was just perfect, comfy rooms with tasty decor, really excellent food, smiley helpful staff, a great choice of gins!. We booked all the rooms and everyone had a great time, thank you very much. So much to do and see in the local area, and the sun shone so we were able to enjoy tea and birthday cake outside in the courtyard everyday. Highly recommend Furzeleigh and we will visit again.

Visited for a Sunday Sunday lunch with all the family, the staff where l very friendly and helpful. The food was really very good, very good quality food and very hot. The grounds are kept in excellent condition, the sun was shining and we sat and had a very enjoyable drink in the garden before the meal. Will definitely go again.

We stayed from 26th September for 3 nights for our wedding anniversary. The welcome we received was excellent. All members of staff were very convivial and the food was superb. We stayed in room 6, Mill Leat, which was made up as a twin room from our booking request and the facilities were very good. We took dinner every evening and found the food delicious. Many thanks.
