We stayed here for two nights. If you've ever felt like an inconvenience as a customer to a business this is how we felt. The Cromwell Arms is in a great location and has a good pub atmosphere, but the hotel service is just very average.

I am sorry you had to review us so harshly. The problem maybe is that we are not a hotel, we are a country pub with rooms. We don't provide hotel facilities such as a night porter, room service, open 24 hours a day and never have done. Our prices to stay reflect this. If you want to stay in... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. Great location close to all amenities. And a few minutes from Dartmoor. Very clean and staff very accommodating. Room we had was very spacious and comfortable. Excellent food and the Sunday lunch is not to be missed. Bonus is plenty of parking. Would recommend to all.

We stayed in the Cromwell Arms for a weekend during the summer with two couples. On arrival we got shown to our rooms, which were spacious and clean. The bed was a bit too soft and bouncy, which made for a light sleep. The shower could do with more water pressure, but was ok. The hair dryer can be considered... More

The Cromwell Arms was a great place to stay, we found the host / staff to be very friendly and quick to serve even when being very busy. The food was excellent and again well served by the staff. Our room for two nights was very comfortable with a large shower / bathroom and a wardrobe big enough for all... More

Our first night in Devon on our family holiday we were all hungry and desperate to eat. We arrived at 5:45 and was told they didn't serve food until 6, fine. So we looked at the menu and found what the 5 of us wanted to eat and went to place our order. But the staff looked at the clock... More

Stayed for one night, mid week for bed and breakfast. Staff friendly and welcoming. Room and bathroom were clean and had everything you needed. The pub area was also clean and well maintained. Breakfast was served in a dining room reserved for the guests. Apparently the pub was fully occupied for the night and this proved to be true at... More

This pub bed and breakfast is ideally situated in the centre of town with free parking. The room was clean, quiet and reasonably sized. Two points worth noting. Firstly the taps in the toilet are hot and cold but no mixer. The hot tap is extremely hot so you need to fill the sink before use. Secondly, breakfast is only... More

I stayed here whilst auditing locally and found it to be great value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had to change my booking slightly when my husband decided to join me and it was no problem for them. The food was tasty nice. The rooms were clean and modern with all the requirements.
