I've had the pleasure of staying at the Cromwell now on two separate occasions with my work colleagues and must say I highly recommend it here. The service, food, accommodation and all staff made myself and the lads stay very enjoyable and comfortable. We will be going back next month and look forward to it 👍

We stayed for one night on the Friday of August bank holiday having stayed in Tintagel and being en route to Torquay. The room was pleasant. However no proper hairdryer just one of those useless bathroom jobs. It was sweltering hot so we were grateful for the fan that we found in the cupboard. Staff were friendly. Nice pub garden....

Thank you for your review which we are surprised to hear. We provide fans as the rooms do let the sunshine in and can get hot, it is a 17th century building. We are not a hotel and we have time restrictions on bar service as otherwise other residents complain that we are too noisy - we can never win!...

Thank you for your review which we are surprised to hear. Our king rooms have a zip and link system as most places do - how would we able to get a king size bed up the stairs of a 17th century building? We are not a hotel and we have time restrictions on bar service as otherwise other residents...

We stayed here for two nights. If you've ever felt like an inconvenience as a customer to a business this is how we felt. The Cromwell Arms is in a great location and has a good pub atmosphere, but the hotel service is just very average.

I am sorry you had to review us so harshly. The problem maybe is that we are not a hotel, we are a country pub with rooms. We don't provide hotel facilities such as a night porter, room service, open 24 hours a day and never have done. Our prices to stay reflect this. If you want to stay in...

Stayed here for 3 nights. Great location close to all amenities. And a few minutes from Dartmoor. Very clean and staff very accommodating. Room we had was very spacious and comfortable. Excellent food and the Sunday lunch is not to be missed. Bonus is plenty of parking. Would recommend to all.

We stayed in the Cromwell Arms for a weekend during the summer with two couples. On arrival we got shown to our rooms, which were spacious and clean. The bed was a bit too soft and bouncy, which made for a light sleep. The shower could do with more water pressure, but was ok. The hair dryer can be considered...

The Cromwell Arms was a great place to stay, we found the host / staff to be very friendly and quick to serve even when being very busy. The food was excellent and again well served by the staff. Our room for two nights was very comfortable with a large shower / bathroom and a wardrobe big enough for all...

Our first night in Devon on our family holiday we were all hungry and desperate to eat. We arrived at 5:45 and was told they didn't serve food until 6, fine. So we looked at the menu and found what the 5 of us wanted to eat and went to place our order. But the staff looked at the clock...

Stayed for one night, mid week for bed and breakfast. Staff friendly and welcoming. Room and bathroom were clean and had everything you needed. The pub area was also clean and well maintained. Breakfast was served in a dining room reserved for the guests. Apparently the pub was fully occupied for the night and this proved to be true at...
