We arrived for lunch 90minutes early ( Easter traffic being surprisingly light!) and the hotel was unfazed and slotted us in for an earlier table without difficulty. Excellent food which was outstanding value for money and an interesting wine list. Staff were universally friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We weren't staying so I can't comment on hotel rooms etc

This hotel is set in rural North Devon and a quite a way from it's coast and main towns. However it is a simply lovely old intimate property, reached by a long uphill lane from the main road. It's set in tranquil grounds nestled into a high valley. The bedroom we had was good with a modern en-suite. The whole...

The hotel was set in a fantastic location and the facilities were very good. Tastefully decorated reception rooms and one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in. Bedroom was generously sized and water pressure was strong in bathroom. Would have preferred an over bath shower and a glass screen. Instead the shower attachment was of the...

Whilst we are pleased that you enjoyed our location, facilities, your room and food from our restaurant, we are naturally concerned and sorry to receive feedback about a poor service experience. We always listen carefully and will be following-up on all points with you directly.

Visited last weekend with our daughter and son in law to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary and found this hotel to be everything we ever wished for. Peaceful, stunning surroundings in a beautiful part of North Devon. Hotel has charm in abundance with fabulous furnishings and décor. A truly magnificent place to chill out with friends and family. Service was...

The hotel is in a beautiful location. We stayed on a special offer break which included a 6 course dinner and wines to accompany different courses. The quality and presentation of each course was excellent. The "Gourmet menu" is priced at £90 which is expensive but this includes top range wines with some of the courses and port with the...

We had booked a deal for Dinner, bed and breakfast. Dinner was gourmet tasting menu with matching wines. Excellent choice and good value. Staff were lovely and service good. Breakfast slightly disappointing, no one in dining room to meet and greet and thus we had to figure out where everything was for buffet start. Cooked breakfast good though again took...

Hubby and I took advantage of the special offer from the hotel and booked for two nights. Our room - Ashreigney was very nice with lovely views. Our dinner was included in the price and was super, as was the wine. All the staff we met were friendly and professional as always. We had a walk around the grounds and...

One overnight stay with gourmet dining & accompanying wines to die for, maybe a little rushed at times but thoroughly enjoyable. Good value for money with a little extra for our dog who was made to feel very welcome & had a goodie bag in the room which was lovely. Staff were very friendly & happy to please. There are...

We only stayed one night and had the gourmet dinner with wine. We enjoyed the food and the wine although we did feel rather rushed. We would have like to have ordered another glass or two or wine with the main courses but there was no opportunity for this. It did not exactly spoil things but what was good could...
