Hooks Cottage is the most peaceful spot we have come across. It must relax even the most stressed souls, with the gentle sound of the stream below the bedroom window, birdsong and the freshest air you'll ever have breathed. Mary and Dick are impeccable hosts. Comfortable, homely, welcoming, nothing is too much trouble - a hidden treasure deep...

Lovely location, loved the remoteness. Very welcoming with personal touches. A nice change from the very samey modern hotels and b&bs which is very refreshing. Brilliant hosts who take great pride in making your stay a lovely experience. Look forwards to returning sometime.

They allowed us the use of the second room for our baby free of charge and even readied some toys in the room! Loved the fresh flowers in the room. It was also nice to have a fridge in the room. The rooms...
