We stayed here on 6th and 7th of August. It is very reasonably priced. Large car park with loads of space for parking. Marie was the lady we were dealing with and she was a lovely lady, very friendly and helpful. She even offered a spare extension for electricity hook up as my own is very short. These are the nice things that make places stand out for us. The site is in an ideal location, only 2 min walk from local chipper, playground and a local pub which had a great Trad session on the Sunday evening. We loved our two nights in Achill and the experience was made much better by Hy Breasal and the lovely lady who runs it. Thanks
Stayed here to use camping facilities and loved every minute. Felt like coming home. Great showers and lovely friendly hosts. Great base to explore the area. Full kitchen facility was Great for family to make dinner etc. Can dispose of waste here and fill with water also.
We stayed with our caravan it is walking distance to pubs and restaurants. Lovely little site with all conveniences, very clean hot showers and toilet area. Fully equiped kitchen if required. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It's perfect for exploring the stunning Achill island.
We camped here early season, so had the camping and common kitchen area completely to ourselves. While there was only a peek-a-boo view down to the sea, we didn’t mind that because the camping area was nicely tucked behind some trees on a grassy part behind the B&B, sheltered from the wind. Marie was very welcoming, it was great to have the kitchen/common area to hang out in when the weather was particularly West-Coasty, and the showers were always hot. A quick walk down to McSavers or SuperValu in the village. Would just deduct half a star as the pots, pans, and crockery in the kitchen were not very clean—make sure to clean it yourself if you’re going to use it. This might have been a fault of previous campers who used the kitchen as opposed to the owners! Definitely recommend.
What makes this place so special are the hosts; Marie and Mairt who are so warm and welcoming you feel like family. Rooms are extremely clean and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is good with great bacon and pudding. Coffee is good too. There is an area out front too where you can bring a bottle or a few beers and relax at the fire pit. We had a lovely stay. Thank you Marie and Mairt.
My family and I recently stayed here for two days. Positives: The breakfast was very good, with cooked breakfasts such as the full Irish. There was also a buffet bar in the dining room where you can find an assortment of breakfast items such as cereal and fruits. The b&b also has a wonderful outdoor area in front of the house where you can eat food that you brought from outside. The host Marie was very nice and helpful. Negatives: The room was very small and there was only one window in the room, which meant that we had to keep the light on the whole time. Also, the Wifi was very slow and it fluctuated between being moderately fast to not having a connection at all. The b&b was located as such that there were no views of the sea or the mountains. Overall, this is an average b&b and if you don't mind the lack of a strong internet connection, you'll have a good stay here.…
Super location. Super friendly hosts I've ever met. Very efficient// Treated as friends. Total unexpected visit and would recommend to visit. Wishing them all the best for this summer and hope to return soon.
Stayed one night in August. Breakfast was probably the best I've had anywhere. The host is a chef! Rooms clean great location 2 mins walk from pub. Sat with owner till the early hours drinking wine over a camp fire in the distance majestic mountains. This place is super friendly and safe. Covid practices firmly in place. Thanks Marie and Martin. The room was nice and clean with small bathroom. Marie was very friendly and helpful. Very close to the town, quite and causy. We got a tea and biscuts. Breakfast was very nice. Marie was very nice and one morning she made breakfast for us earlier. We were in B&B few nights and we are going to back again ;)
We went on a staycation with my wife’s parents and wife’s sisters family. The host Marie gave us the entire upstairs to ourselves. It was very quiet and private. Marie was very helpful and pleasant. The breakfasts each morning were delicious and in a comfortable setting; the conservatory. The beds were comfortable and rooms clean. There was no issue with having our small dog with us. The b&b is near a nice pub and hotel where we ate out. There’s a nice shop nearby where my wife bought a sheep skin rug. I would recommend this b&b.
