My friend's and I stayed at Castle Oaks for the last night of our seven-night road trip around Ireland, so we'd had something to compare it to by that time. I'm confident to say the hotel comes out on top, we were very glad to have recieved the comfort we were looking forward to, not to mention the very agreeable price. Perticular thanks to all the Staff, who were very accomodating and patient with organising an extra-early breakfast and liberating the odd mobile phone from our locked room when our party split up, you were all very kind and professional.
Spent two nights for wedding and had a fabulous two nights. three of us shared the room with had two single and one double bed , room was very spacious and very comfortable. staff were very helpful ,on both days. One the day of the wedding the staff could not do enough to make sure we had a great day, sorry I don't remember all the name s ,Josephine looked after us most of the day and I would like to thank her for all she done and the other staff too.
We were visiting family in Limerick so returned late to the hotel for food in the main bar with our 3 children on Saturday night. Food was v good standard (we're fussy) and smiles all around from our kids. We stayed in a courtyard suite as this was the only option for a family of 2 adults and 3 children. It was impeccably clean and comfortable. V little delph in the kitchen, only 1 of 3 TV remote controls 'sort of worked' so a little frustrating. Leisure Centre nice. Overall though we felt overpriced though at 340EUR for just the one night. This did include breakfast, which was good. We might consider returning if considerably less expensive / a promotion offer perhaps.
The hostility and welcome as always is first rate in the Castleoaks. Maggie like Josephine and all the Castleoaks people make the stay so very special, in addition a trip to the state of the art Leisure Centre is a real bonus to the experience.
I recently had a gathering and decided on the Castle Oaks for the finger food. From start to finish the process the flawless i.e. from ordering the food to the collection of it. Thanks to Martina and all the staff for efficient service and fabulous food. Everything was perfect 👍. Compliments to all. All the food was delicious and was enjoyed by all. Nothing went to waste. The strawberry cheesecake was divine..
Myself, my sister and our two daughters had a fabulous stay in a family room at the Castle Oaks hotel. It is a very homely hotel, very comfortable and clean too. It is the staff that make it so special though. Everyone from reception, to waiting staff to pool staff were just so friendly and seemed so genuine. The grounds are lovely, with lots of areas for kids to run about, a lovely fairy trail and a gorgeous walk along the Shannon. The pool and changing rooms were great and exceptionally clean. We ate in the bar and got the most gorgeous tender steaks and the kids got pizza. We were very impressed. Aoife, our waitress was so good with the kids and was very attentive. The barman ( i didn't get his name unfortunately) was very friendly and helpful too. We really enjoyed our stay.
Fantastic little gem of hotel. Staff are second to none in hospitality. From Reception to the bar to accommodation staff. The twins in the Bar I could stay talking to for hours. They are the most friendly staff I have seen in a hotel in years.with leisure centre and beautiful walks nearby you will not be disappointed.
Clean, generous sized room. The bouncy floor in the room when people went up/down the stairs outside the door was a bit disturbing. The bath needs a refurb. The floodlights all night outside the window are unnecessary & also a bit disturbing in the night. The staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome, especially the efforts made towards a gluten free brekkie. We would have liked it better if checkout was 12 (11 is quite early on a weekend). Wish we'd had more time to explore the grounds, they look lovely.
Stayed in CastleOaks the night of the Ed Sheeran concert. A fantastic location in an old convent, surrounded by beautiful gardens looking out onto the River Shannon. The hotel itself has all the amenities you would need. Food in the hotel bar was beautiful, and couldn't get better staff, in particular Josephine and Maggie, who were so friendly and helpful! The room was huge and beds extremely comfortable. Could do with a bit of updating, but lovely and comfortable. When it came to getting to the concert, Tommy was on the job to get us there and back. Extremely efficient in getting everyone out to the concert on time. Breakfast in the morning was well run with some lovely breakfast choices you wouldn't normally see. Recommend the omlettes! All in all this hotel is a hidden gem and will definitely be back for a longer stay!…
Stayed for one night before Ed Sheeran concert. From the moment we walked in the door till the moment we left the service was excellent. Check in was a joy friendly helpful staff always greeted with a smile. The bar food was excellent and Josephine and Maggie (twins) could not have done more for us. Naturals at 5 star customer service. Breakfast is a full table service, excellent quality produce served sgain with a smile. The breakfast was piping hot and delicious. Our room perhaps could do with a little updating mainly in the bathroom. All spotlessly clean, beds super comfy. Can not fault the hotel and will return for a longer stay to explore the 26 acres of grounds and the leisure centre.
