Had the pleasure of being at a family wedding here in September 2020. It is a fabulous venue with gorgeous grounds, and we were really lucky as we seemed to get the last of the very fine summer weather. Covid protocols were very evident and plenty of hand gel dispensers were dotted around the place. Check in was prompt and we got a super large room which was very comfortable. The wedding reception was second to none, service was fantastic – almost run like a military operation. The meal was superb, we couldn’t fault it. Had the luxury of staying for two nights, and sleep quality was great, it is such a quiet peaceful place in the heart of the country, yet not too far away. Plenty of photographic opportunities around the grounds for those of you enjoy taking pictures, and lots of wildlife to be seen. Plenty of pic opportunities in the house itself as well, it is so charming and beautifully maintained. Breakfast is cooked to order, and really good. Staff have to be complimented on their attention to detail and their courteous manner. We would love to stay again at some time in the future.

Visited for overnight saturday with DBB. Overall excellent experience from check-in to dinner to nights sleep to breakfast. Check-in was easy, staff really friendly, helpful. Room was spacious with sea view. Dinner in hotel dining room was comfortable with restriction evident everywhere.Food was good, tasty, plentiful. Owner evident at night to prevent any covid restriction breaking caused by alcohol. Breakfast delivered to table excellent. Overall would highly recomend.

My friend and I spent the weekend of September 25-27th at Tinakilly House. It was absolutely gorgeous from the incredible artwork, lovely antiques and the stunning views and grounds. So many pictures were taken and the price was worth it. Our room was big and boasted antique furniture and the bedding was clean and soft. We had dinner the first evening and it was well prepared and delicious! The breakfast both mornings was very good as well. The only problem we had was with the attentiveness from the staff. The first night wasn’t too bad but we seemed to be always waiting to get someone’s attention for a drink in the lounge and to ask simple questions. We went to bed early that night as we were tired. It was blessedly quiet all night. The next morning the wedding preparations were in full force. We went away for the day and when we returned early that evening it was nice to see the wedding seemed to be an enjoyable one. We came into the bar lounge it was closed for a private event. We waited a bit and finally we were able to find someone and ask if we could get a drink. We still waited further for someone to make and brink us our drink order. We sat in the room off the lobby. It was a nice area but we felt one of the lounges would have been a better place for an after dinner cocktail. At one point I went back to the room for a bit and my friend was finally able to get into the bar. She had ordered a drink. When I came back down and wanted to sit and have a drink with her, it took 45 minutes for me to be acknowledged so I could order. The front desk was not manned very often and when we were able to find someone to ask for help it was to tell us they would get someone for us. I understand they had a wedding going on but we should have been treated as well as the wedding party. If I go back again I would definitely ask if there is a wedding going on before booking.

We had our wedding here at the end of August. Despite the ever changing restrictions we decided to go ahead, the staff at Tinakilly were really helpful and never put us under pressure about making decisions during what was already a stressful time. Despite having to significantly reduce our numbers we had an amazing day. We had our ceremony and drinks reception in the house and the dinner in the marquee - the room was set up so well, no one noticed the smaller numbers. We had so much positive feedback from guests who said they felt extremely safe at all time and were amazed by food, service and pictureseque setting. Almost all of our guests stayed over too and were so pleased with their rooms and breakfast the next morning. We are delighted we went ahead and wouldnt change anything about our day.

We had our wedding reception at Tinakilly house amidst the covid pandemic. The hotel was beautiful with beautiful vintage charm, and gardens that allowed us and our guests to have a peaceful and elegant drinks reception with musicians on the lawn. The hotel staff were wonderful and we had no problems getting everything sorted in a very short space of time as the hotel were so helpful. We had our meal and reception in the beautiful Halpin suite overlooking the sea and gardens and the hotel wedding planner arranged everything as we had asked for. We barely noticed any impact from covid despite regulations being followed. Although it is a stressful time to plan a wedding Tinakilly country house helped us so much and accommodated us every step of the way. This is a beautiful venue for a wedding.
