Our guests were delighted with their evening at Tinakilly - and wowed as soon as they got off the buses. The garden is an absolute credit to whoever looks after it. I couldn't take two steps without being congratulated about the venue. The Pavilion is a delightful space, the meal was wonderful, the service impeccable, and the Maitre D helpful at every step. Tinakilly will be remembered by all who were there that night. Cameras were hopping!
Room booked 29th December as a surprise Father's day gift..reservation for 11th June and received a phone call today...Two days before our intended stay....to cancel our stay as they had a 'wedding party' who had booked the hotel in its entirety...If we had even been offered an alternative date with some gesture of apology it would have been nice but nothing...had heard such nice things about the hotel that we're very disappointed with such bad customer service..
We visited Ireland recently to attend our Son's wedding and stayed at this wedding venue. From the start of our stay, on the eve of the big day, until we left on the morning after, we could not fault a single thing. It is a very unique Hotel with beautiful grounds, perfect for taking photos. We were particularly impressed with the standard of the food, especially given that over a hundred meals were being served. The staff obviously work hard to make this hotel the special place it is. What a wonderful place to have a wedding.
The outside of Tinakilly country house is so pretty the gardens and walkways are amazing its the inside that lets it down. We went on an overnight stay and the room we where put in was up in the attic the birds nest room we had to slouch down to walk to our room. It was not suitable for 2 adults and it was €160 for the night. The signs to find the rooms did not help at all it took us 25 minutes to find the room. The beds where that uncomfortable and the room was freezing. The breakfast the next morning was not great we had ordered the full breakfast and it all tasted the same there was no flavour. The staff tried there best they where helpful and friendly. But the overall experience was a massive let down and certainly not worth the €160 we paid for our stay
We got married in February in Tinakilly House. It was wonderful. I dropped in recently and it felt so good to be there again & enjoy the lovely atmosphere. The house was the perfect venue; so spacious & beautiful but very homely & comfortable. Every photo has gorgeous details in the background. The Staff were welcoming and beyond accommodating; they did everything with a smile and didn’t miss a single detail. They were impeccably professional. Our meal was very special. We have a number of family & friends with dietary limitations & requirements and Everyone spoke so highly about the food; they were all very impressed. A very special thank you to Roisin, the wedding manager at Tinakilly. Roisin made everything so simple, so easy and so perfect. Thank You Roisin!
My husband and I had our wedding reception in Tinakilly House. We had the most amazing day. The venue is absolutely beautiful and has such character,it is not your run of the mill hotel. What really makes it though is the staff. Everyone there is so personable and they could not do enough for us and made us feel so at home and welcome. Any of the guests we have spoken to since the wedding have spoken so highly of Tinakilly, some saying it was the best wedding venue they have ever been to. The food is also amazing, another thing guests commented on. Tinakilly is really a very special place. I cannot recommend it enough as a wedding venue or as a night away. Emma and Rob
Magnificent country hotel, what a find! Arrived at thee most glorious Victorian Manor house bathed in sunshine, nested among tall trees and birdsong! Staff so friendly and welcoming ( Muraid on reception). Bedrooms beautifully decorated in keeping with the era ( do pick up a leaflet on the history of the house, it makes for a great read in the gardens, gin and tonic in hand! Dinner and breakfast were delicious, a nice varied menu with wonderfully prepared fresh local ingredients. Will definitely return!
An imposing old house. Sensibly priced accommodation providing large comfortable rooms but not luxurious. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Coming up the long drive adds to the feeling of grandeur. Well cooked breakfast with plenty of choice. A good place to stay in Wicklow
Our son had his wedding reception at Tinakilly House on Feb 26. It is a lovely venue and the staff were so kind and professional. From the moment we checked in right up to departure, our experience was wonderful. Our room had garden views and was spotlessly clean. The food served was delicious. The service was exceptional. A special word of thanks to AB.
Myself and my friend stayed here for a night in January. The house itself is so impressive looking, and the lobby is amazing. The hotel is traditionally and luxuriously furnished downstairs. The bedroom itself was more humble, but very spacious and we had a fabulous view, Of the lake, sea and gorgeous horses. We had a double and single bed in the room . I slept in the single and it was lovely and comfortable. The bathroom was lovely , the shower was small but very powerful. The dinner was so tasty. I’m a vegetarian and had the mushroom and spinach pasta and it was the nicest pasta I’ve ever eaten. I go to Italy for my holidays every year and it was still the best. I’m still thinking about it three weeks later ! The hotel was lovely and quiet t sleep in and breakfast was lovely. The owner himself was a lovely man, very genuine and friendly as were all the staff. I would love to come back and visit again , and would recommend this hotel to everyone !…
