Stayed here over the weekend. Gorgeous buildings, old style interior, very charming. Really lovely and helpful staff, nice rooms with old-style bathrooms, clean and comfortable beds. Breakfast was lovely and dinner in the Italian restaurant delicious. There are two restaurants on the premises, the Strawberry Tree and the Italian restaurant. The spa is well laid out and the massage and facial was great. The only complaint I d have is the unpleasant smell that came from the pipes? in the bathroom, sewage smell. The grounds of the hotel are stunning. Check out the picturesque Chapel down by the river.
I went to this hotel with my mam, and two sisters. To celebrate my mothers retirement. We booked in Jan 2020 for mid week Sept 2020 booking. We got a fabulous deal with bed and breakfast, evening meal for one of the nights and a spa treatment and use of the thermal suite. Great hotel, with a wonderful relaxing stay. The staff could not do enough and are a credit to the hotel. Food was the most amazing food I have ever had, second only to Italia. (I love Italy!) Oh they also make their own infused Gin with elderflower onsite and it was delicious. You can also purchase a bottle to bring home if you wish. The spa was so relaxing the full body massage one of the best I have had. I am from Dublin and am thinking of going again in Dec 20 for a break when restrictions lift and it is the only place, I will have visited this year due to covid. I highly recommend this hotel, keep up the good work. We all felt so relaxed returning home. We went for a 6km walk "Marian Walk" before we left. Exquisite break was had by all.…
Spent a night with friends, the food was impeccable in the Starwberry Tree! I left some items behind and Elaine was so amazing helping me locate the lost property! Wonderful staff, food, location and is a wonderful hotel
This is my go to place to get away and relax. Very chilled really nice staff comfortable rooms the spa experience is always a positive and relaxing one. The only negative is the Italian restaurant the experience and menu is a little tired they need to change it up with the menu offerings will not return to it when we visit again.
As we are adjusting to living with Covid 19 now, my partner and I decided to take the plunge and do a staycation. We really wanted to go to a place were we could unwind and I'm so happy to say that's exactly what we got in the Brooklodge. We choose this hotel for two reasons, 1. Location, we wanted to go remote and explore the great outdoors in Wicklow 2. Pet friendly, we are dog owners and didn't want to leave our Lily at home. I can't speak highly enough about our experience with Lily at the Brooklodge, we were both nervous about bringing her but the staff made us feel so welcome with Lily. Everything was left in the room for us, poop bags, treats, bowls, bed and even food on request was available for her, there is even a cosy kennel on site which is coded which gave us peace of mind as we dined in the evening. The walks nearby are brilliant for dogs too. The kindness shown by staff during Lily's stay just made our trip even better. She thought it was paw-fect 😂 what we thought would be a stressful experience was nothing short of seamless. If you want a relaxing hotel with AMAZING food, great staff and that feeling of escapism then this is the hotel for you. We dined here completely during our stay and every meal was excellent, particularly in the strawberry tree. We loved how tranquil the hotel was, even having an hot chocolate by the cosy fire on Monday afternoon was exactly the comfort we so badly needed from our busy schedules. From a Covid perspective all guidelines were adhered too and we felt safe at all times, it was so clearly explained and visible throughout our stay that additional cleaning was in place. Thanks to all the staff for giving us a staycation where we left so well rested compared to our exhausted minds! 😊 10/10 From Lily too! …
