We were a family group of 7 completing the Wicklow Way from Dublin's Marley Park to Clonegal. Our overnight stay with Michael and Margaret was perfect from start to finish. Comfortable spotless rooms, delicious breakfast and the most wonderful welcome. Wonderful!
My wife and I stayed in Macreddin Rock B&B on the 26th July 2019. We were greeted by it's owners Michael and Margaret and made feel like family. As a couple they are the warmest most welcoming people I have had the pleasure of meeting. The B&B is set in the beautiful village of Macreddin and a short walk from the beautiful Brook lodge Hotel. The rooms are fantastic all mod cons and very comfortable. Not only will you sleep well in this beautiful location it will be treated to a fantastic breakfast that is suited for all. Whether attending a wedding, on a walking tour or simply passing through this is the spot for any couple. Michael and Margaret will meet all your needs and will always go the extra mile. A true Irish welcome! Shane (Galway)
We stayed here 12-14th July for my Brother in Laws wedding at the nearby (10 min walk) Brooklodge hotel The B&B is spotless, rooms are a lovely size with amazing views across the countryside. You do need a car to get about but the walk to the larger hotel/village is short - And there are restaurants and pubs on site. Although I would say it could be a little difficult if you have mobility issues as its uphill on way back. Take a torch or use your phone light if walking at night. The real stars are Michael and Margaret the owners - they are so friendly and welcoming. Michael was there to greet us when we arrived (as Margaret was out stocking up on food) and showed us to our lovely rooms - there are tea and coffee making facilities in the small reception area so you can simply…
We stayed at this lovely B&B while going to a wedding at the nearby Brooklodge Macreddin Hotel (a short stumble away - 1/4 mile if that). The room was very clean, spacious and overlooked the sheep field. Michael and Margaret were great hosts, very welcoming and made a fab Irish breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. If I'm in the area I'll stay again.
It was a very pleasant stay here. I had a good time with my neighbours (the sheep) and the owners are very nice. Great location with a nice view and not far away from the Glendalough where you can make a beautiful walk in the mountains or around the lake.
