Dropped in for coffee and cake here recently. what a lovely break it turned out to be. the coffee was divine as was the scone. the sticky toffee pudding was simply marvelous. But the lady who served us made our day, she was so witty and charming and obviously loves her job and it shows. Will definitely be back.
Myself and my husband had a Perfect stay in Lynham's last friday night. Ciara welcomed us warmly and explained the Covid procedures that were put in place - we immediately felt safe. Our room was No. 112 - a fabulous newly decorated room in soothing colours with beautiful furnishings and a great bathroom - it overlooked the River so it was quiet. We loved this room and the sound of the water was so relaxing. After a short walk we chilled out and went down to dinner in the River Room - all the tables were well spaced out. Our waitress was Esther and what a Gem she is - she had a big smile and friendly approach to everyone and explained the menu to us and recommended the Wine - 3 Wooley Sheep - an excellent choice. We had the Vegetable Soup and Wicklow Brie for starters - both tasty dishes. For mains we ate - the Steak Sandwich and the Wolf Beer Battered Fish n Chips - loved both but the Fish was amazing. Dessert was the Berry & Apple Crumble - Divine is the word to describe it. We finished with a lovely cup of Cappuccino. The Chef is excellent - thank you for a very memorable Meal. One thing I noticed about the Menu was that they use a lot of Local Products - this was wonderful to see and taste. Also all the tables in the Bar and Restaurant had Fresh Flowers in lovely vases on them - I loved this. Breakfast was cooked to perfection the next morning and Aoife looked after us - She was really lovely and we enjoyed a socially distanced chat while waiting on the food to arrive. She also checked us out. We felt very relaxed throughout our stay. This cosy Hotel is perfectly placed in lovely Laragh near Glendalough for any kind of a break - if you're like us and just wanted to escape from it all or if you love walking or cycling or sightseeing you couldn't pick a better place. Our genuine Thanks to all the Staff - we will return. We highly reccomend this cosy place - All you have to do is go and enjoy yourselves.…
My friend and I stayed here while hiking on the Wicklow Way and it way surpassed expectations. We were greeted by a warm, bubbly staff member on the desk who engaged with us throughout our stay. It was clear she loves meeting people and the warm welcome made such a difference. We ate in the restaurant that evening where we were served by super friendly, attentive staff and felt perfectly comfortable with the Covid set up. Hand sanitisers everywhere and seating a good distance from each other. The food was plentiful and DELICIOUS. I can't wait to go back for another St Kevin's burger! The room was super clean and comfortable. Can't recommend Lynham's enough. The staff really made it.
Fantastic location. From the sounds of the river Glenmacnass flowing past very fast, to the interior, (the life-size Terminator statue in the lobby), were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was really good and enjoyable. They had a big carvery on with a varied selection With a good cappuccino to sip on.The welcoming burning fire nearby reminded us that it was indeed winter outside and this was a good place to stop by for something decent to eat for lunch.
When you're driving around the Wicklow Mountains, south of Dublin, the picturesque town of Glendalough is a great place to stop. We had a lovely lunch at this restaurant in a local inn at the edge of town. Good food, friendly staff, a nice beer selection, and reasonable prices. You do have to get your food cafeteria-style, but there was no line so this was a minor inconvenience.
