The breakfast at Ballyknocken was probably the best we had during our trip to Ireland. The French toast was delicious, and the orange juice was attractively presented with orange slices and basil. The room itself was a bit musty and overcrowded, though. The location is ideal for exploring County Wicklow.

On Friday 23rd March 2012 myself and 3 friend s were so so lucky to be treated to a private cookery class with Catherine Fulvio which included dinner overnight stay and breakfast in Ballyknocken House and Cookery School. We were there to celebrate the 50th birthday of one of our special friends and were all been treated by the very...

I recently had the pleasure of being a guest in Ballyknocken as a member of a surprise party for one of my friends. Her husband had arranged a cookery class, dinner and an overnight for her and 3 of her long term pals. What a present that turned out to be! We started with a glass of bubbly and a...

My boyfriend kindly produced a voucher for a cookery class and a nights stay at Ballyknocken house to my utmost surprise! (a rather large hint don't you think). On arrival I was greeted at the door by Catherine Fulvio herself and taken to a room on the first floor of the house. I felt at home straight away as the...

We stayed here for one night, had a beautiful dinner and I took part in Sunday Morning's cookers class "7 Nights, 7 Meals - 1 Plan". The dinner was superb, almost too much food. The room was lovely, the service was very efficient and the people were great. I'd strongly recommend attending one of the classes. I'll be back.

Catherine Fulvio runs both the Guest House and the Cookery School at Ballyknocken House which is set up in the Wicklow Mountains. My wife’s birthday present was to attend one of Catherine’s Cookery Courses. We drove down the 150 miles (240 Klms) to Wicklow and stayed overnight at the guesthouse with the added advantage of having dinner cooked by Catherine...

Myself and my friend went here for one night. Catherine Fulvio is an admirable and successful woman. We stayed the milk parlour which I would highly recommend because it is alot more private than the main house. The place has a very old world feel to it also. The gardens veg/herb are very nice. The cookery course was good I...

Recently attended a cookery course at Ballyknocken and stayed overnight. Course was given by Catherine Fulvio (from the Telly). Did the Italian class which showed me how to make fresh pasta - really easy and tasty. Food was fresh and simple to cook and we got to eat it afterwards in the house. House is great, old world, comfy furniture,...

I went on a cookery course here a couple of weekends ago with my sister in law and we did one of the mains and desserts courses. We got to choose which table we were on and which recipes we made. My favourite was the roast duck dish which i’m going to make for lunch next weekend. We shared a...
