I would absolutely recommend staying at the Glendalough hotel. The location is fantastic and is right on top of the Glendalough Monastic site and numerous other attractions in the area. The rooms were older, but they were fine. The food was great, and the place just felt very genuine. This would be an awesome place to come with a significant... More

Nice, some rooms rather small for 2 people, so far no internet access in the rooms. Food good, service kind, but in some aspects not efficient (at dinner the bread arrived always much too late, tea for breakfast not well prepared in sufficient quantities). Very well situated for the Glendalough Visitors Centre and the old monastery site.

Called in here for coffee after stoping at Glendalough visitors centre which is terrible. Scones and muffins looked good. Staff very friendly. Great service. Start your walk here. They also have an open fire.

I stayed in the Glendalough hotel on saturday night last.I had just completed the Moonlight challenge a charity event for the Glenn of Imaal Mountain Rescue. Having walked 26 km in the dark the Irish stew was fantastic and the beer was also very good. i had a great sleep in a very good room and woke to have a... More

I stayed here overnight early in November (out of season) and was offered a terrific deal when I just dropped in - a single room, breakfast and dinner for 50 euros! The room was small but had an ensuite & was spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly & very obliging. A couple of drawbacks: no wifi in the rooms but... More

I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon (3/4pm) for food and a drink with a big family group - tables had been reserved for weeks. There were three stressed waitresses. It took 40 mins to order and others had to ask for their food repeatedly. The pissed off waitress said it was always like this on a Saturday when the... More

Being the only hotel in the popular Glendalough area I expected a bit "more" this hotel doesn't feel like it is investing back into the rooms despite it being very busy year round. The whole set up seems to be for bulk customers and a lot with meals, menus and service very main stream. Dining here area is lovely with... More

Booked through one of hotel search site for 2 nights. Arrived to the hotel by taking the St Kevin Bus, a dedicated bus from Dublin to Glendalough Park/hotel. The bus waits at the northern part of St Stephen’s Square, €20 return and the travel takes about 1hr 30minutes. The bus departs from St Stephen’s Square at 11.30am in the morning... More

I had a wonderful two night stay. I both relaxed and hiked many areas, including the lakes and Wicklow Mountain. The scenary and relaxed quiet area was just what I needed. The general hospitality and great food in the lodge with the fireplace and areas to relax were just what I needed. I will go back if I'm in Ireland... More

During a day trip to Glendalough, my boyfriend and I decided to grab a bite to eat in the hotel. We ordered drinks at the bar and were told to take a seat and a member of staff would take our food order. We sat down and after half an hour, no one even passed by our table. There was... More
