Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here for a wedding nearby. Was very kindly dropped up to the venue.

Good amount of private parking and nice communal breakfast room.

Nice en-suite with a good shower and fresh towels.

Great value for the room and great breakfast that was cooked to order the next day.

Many thanks!

Stayed here for a wedding recently. On arrival Miriam (the owner) came out to meet us, and offered to take us to the wedding venue, she went the extra mile throughout! She even went as far as ironing my top for me the next morning when I asked for an iron. Nothing is trouble for this lady. The shallets were homely inside and the beds were very comfy. I could only recommend that Miriam keeps up her wonderful service, but, also that the step into the shallet is looked at.
We will be back to visit again soon.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Copper Beeches for 2 nights when we were over from Brooklyn for a friend's wedding at Rathsallagh, and our stay couldn't have been better. Gerry and Miriam are absolutely lovely people -- even if the lodge weren't as great as it is, just having them as hosts would make it worth staying there. They (along with their amazing dog, Murphy, and sweet neighborhood cat, Nudger, if you are an animal person!) provide a real wealth of local knowledge and great recommendations, along with friendly conversation and an AMAZING breakfast cooked right in your kitchen in the mornings. Set in the gorgeous countryside near the Kildare/Wicklow border with comfortable beds, an accessible kitchen and a clean bathroom with a great shower -- we definitely had everything we needed for a comfy stay in the country. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Thank you so much for your so positive review. We are a long time in this business and what is so invigorating is the opportunity we get to meet with some lovely people if only for a short time as was the case with you and JJ. So glad you enjoyed your stay and found it comfortable. Best wishes and give our regards to Broadway!

Stayed here for a wedding in Rathsallagh House.
Gerry & Miriam couldn't have been nicer.
The accommodation was ideal, comfy bed & a nice shower.
Allowed us to pick our own breakfast time, and cooked for us when we woke.
Gave a lift over to Rathsallagh.
Great stay, highly recommended.

We stayed here in 2 of the rooms for a wedding at Rathsallagh. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though perhaps a little basic. That was more than made up for by the super friendly staff and the excellent breakfast

I recently stayed at Copper Beeches for a Rathsalagh wedding for a couple of nights. It’s a lovely and peaceful property about 10 mins away from Rathsalagh House. The owners Gerry and Miriam are super friendly and accommodating hosts.

It’s a very relaxed environment and my room had a very comfortable bed with a great shower. After a delicious breakfast and an enjoyable chat, Gerry gave me a lift to Rathsalagh house where my car was parked from the night before. What more could you ask for! I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended. Thank you.

PS: anyone who’s an animal lover will love ‘Murph’ the border collie and 'Nudger' the cat :)
