This is my second time staying at Rockfield and I continue to be impressed by Edna's hospitality and the stunning location of this B&B. The view from the front room is spectacular helped of course by the gorgeous weather we had durning our stay. Edna is very knowledgable about the area and we were never disappointed by her recommendations. I would have no hesitation in recommending Rockfield. I look forward to my next visit.
We could not find fault with Rockfield, Edna's welcome is second to none, Room is immaculate and spotless. Breakfast is all we could want. Views from the dining room are to die for.Where else would you get a rainbow over breakfast. ,
My husband, my cousin and myself stayed in "Rockfield" Guesthouse from Monday 7th July to Friday 11th July. The Guesthouse is just outside Avoca and is elevated and surrounded by breathtaking scenery! The fields of Wheat, Mountains, birds singing and little Rabbits running around make your holiday so much more enjoyable. Edna makes a delicious freshly made Irish cooked Breakfast. There are Yoghurts, assorted Juices & fresh delicious Fruit salad. Her homemade Croissants,Scones,Jams and Marmalade are mouthwatering! The Guesthouse is bright and beautifully decorated and with a very large comfortable Lounge.Everywhere is spotlessly clean and where the House is situated is so tranquil and relaxing. The "Cherry on the top" is that you will find a yummy slice of Edna's home baking in…
Wonderful place to stay in. Nice rooms, lovely breakfast, and plenty of things to see around. The fields around the property will make you feel relaxed and comfortable, and Edna's (the owner) baking is fabulous!
Our stay in 'Rockfield' was another of many visits to this amazing guest house, and once again we were not disappointed, as we were treated with the same warm hospitality that we have experienced since our first visit many years ago. The accommodation is immaculate and Edna's cooking is wonderful, indeed her breakfasts are 'to die for'. It was great to be able to relax in the lounge in the evening, overlooking the Vale of Avoca, relaxing with a cup of tea or coffee and savouring some of Edna's home baking. An experience not to be missed.
