The Rockfield Guesthouse B&B was an absolute delight in Avoca, County Wicklow, Ireland. My wife and I had the pleasure of staying for 3 nights, and everything about our experience exceeded our expectations. GPS easily found the location, and the driving route was easy to navigate. Upon arrival, the host, Edna, greeted my wife and I by name before fixing us a fresh pot of tea and offering us homemade sweets. Those sweets were a staple of the trip--she had them ready in our room every night. Edna's homemade breakfasts every morning were truly delightful--fresh ingredients, and homemade to perfection. Meals were taken by a bay window overlooking a picturesque landscape of rolling hills covered in patchwork Irish fields. The view was truly breathtaking. The room was well

We had already read the earlier excellent reviews and we were not dissappointed. Edna warmly greeted us in to her immaculate home. Beautiful views compliment the high quality accommodation. Edna is a wonderful host and she takes so much pride in all aspects of running a Guest House. Home made tiffin in our room on arrival and delicious breakfast (plenty of choice) & again home baked goods which we took with us. A quiet area which you would expect near the mountains but a short drive to Avoca and Arklow which has more there. We are fairly well travelled but this place really is a gem, especially if you are looking for a peaceful location. Thank you Edna for making our stay so enjoyable.

Excellent B&B with a wonderful host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here last year. The whole place is spotlessly clean and the views from the front of the house are outstanding. Great base for visiting Avoca and Glendalough. Would stay here again when visiting this part of the country.

My husband Joe, my cousin Rosemary and myself have just returned from our second stay at "Rockfield" B & B in Avoca. This lovely home is situated in an excellent elevated location in the beautiful Irish Countryside, yet only a short distance from Avoca. It is so tranquil and peaceful and every window looks out on to the breathtaking scenery. Edna is a lovely warm very caring host. Her Breakfasts are delicious and her homecooking is second to none! Something to look forward to every night is a yummy slice of cake or traybake left in your room! The rooms are spotless and are very bright and so comfortable. We look forward to returning in 2016!
