We had a lovely stay here. Luckily we had it booked for the 26th of December just as a little mini break from the Christmas madness. We stayed two nights. We were expecting an extremely quiet break with lockdown looming and poor staff working over Christmas, but from the moment we stepped inside we were greeted by Donna Marie in reception she was extremely helpful and happy, it was a warm welcome we needed. We couldn’t praise her highly enough. Anything we asked she was happy to answer and to help. We had a beautiful corner room. We booked in for dinner, and it was all well spaced out, so we weren’t as nervous. We ate on both nights in the bar and the food was delicious. Piping hot, tasty and the server on both nights was fab! We didn’t hang around in the bar as it was busy with a large family gathering, while we were very well spaced apart, It seemed wise to retreat to the room but we were fed and watered and greeted with a warm smile. We will definitely be back. This short little escape was made 100% better by the staff, it’s not easy working over Christmas especially front line customer based during a pandemic, but the team you have down there is exceptional. We eat here from time to time when around gorey as the food is always great and the chefs such as Thomas (I think) is always happy and so helpful but this is our first time staying. Well done to all the staff, from reception to chefs to servers and house keeping also ensured we were content in the room. Thank you and We will be back hopefully soon, when our little island of ours has regained its strength to beat this awful pandemic. …

6 of us stayed and cannot say enough about the food, staff and ambiance. We loved it & already booked for next year. The food was delicious. Walking distance to Gorey. Absolutely fabulous. Would highly recommend.
We stayed here at the beginning of September to celebrate my completion of a college course, I have always loved staying at this hotel. However on this occasion it didn’t live up to the usual standards I have come to expect. The server at dinner in the evening was extremely rude and had no social skills whatsoever! Upon leaving the dining room I mentioned it to a member of staff who apologized profusely and kept asking my room number, later that evening the manager approached me and he also apologized and asked for my room number, as he would give us a complimentary drink in the bar the following evening!! We are still waiting for that drink!! All the other staff we encountered in the hotel were absolutely lovely. Cleanliness re Covid19 was in my opinion, having stayed in other hotels prior to this one, was not up to standard, there was no evidence of tables and chairs being sanitized after use. I would stay here again although sanitation would need to be improved.…
We stayed in the hotel in early September .We were checked in by a very friendly lady by the name of Donna. We stayed in a deluxe room which was very spacious and comfortable, the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and efficient. We felt very safe considering the present restrictions. We highly recommend this hotel and will return again.
