Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble for Jo and her family. We we warmly greeted on arrival despite the late hour and were shown to our rooms which were beautifully decorated, spacious and very comfortable.
We booked the RCH as we have 2 dogs that Jo she could accommodate also. She gave us an outside room upstairs so if we needed to take the dogs out in the middle of the night we could do so without disturbing others.
On top of the dogs we are also vegan, this was again accommodated by Jo who made special overnight oats for my husband who was competing at a horse competition down the road and needed lost of energy! I had a vegan full Irish, just yummy, with organic tomatoes from the greenhouse taking it to the next level. They even went out and bought oat milk for us to make sure we could have it in our tea!
The ever amazing Jo even washed and dried my husband's competition whites on the Friday night - if that is not going above and beyond I don't know what is!!
This B&B made me truly proud to be Irish, if this is the hospitality that we are showing tourists, Ireland really is a top destination. Jo and the team deserve every accolade and recommendation.
Five stars from us, we will 100% be back!!

We found the Railway House through Booking.com. We needed a place to stay ASAP. When we arrived we where met by Jo and Jim. The dogs where there also to greet us.As dog lover family we where very pleased with this. We stayed in apartment at the side of the property. We where blown away by the accommodation. We where very grateful to be able to stay with two little dogs the house and grounds is pet friendly. The garden area is huge and plenty of space for all. We had a lovely stay. WE stayed over a week. The self-catering apartment was so cosy and warm with a stove fire which we lit during day and apartment stayed warm and our own front door to access it. We could come and go as we please. It was very spacious for a family of 4 and two dogs.. Plenty of walks at the back of property with our dogs was lovely.
Jo and Jim where so helpful and provided us with lots of information. We would highly recommend this B&B to everyone. Bonus was the free range eggs which where delicious for breakfast or a big fry after been out after a long day. We will always remember our stay in the Railway House.

We found ourselves in dire straits in Gorey this weekend after attending a wedding elsewhere, and were unable to travel. All the hotels and B&Bs in the Gorey area were booked, including the Railway Country House. We were staring down the increasingly real possibility of having to sleep in the car, but didn't Jo remember us and call us proactively when she had a last minute cancellation. We spent a lovely night in her very homey and comfortable property. I was stoked to learn that they allow pets (some considerations required). Breakfast was fab. I look forward to returning for an intentional stay at this lovely property, hopefully accompanied by the Furbaby! Thanks, Jo!

Good energy, cleanliness( spotless) , friendly, comfort, newly bathrooms with humidity extractors, decoration, service, attention to detail, animal friendly ( only on specific assigned rooms). That BB has it all, can't find a faulty nail. BREAKFAST Delicious with a variety of fresh and seasonal choices. Coffee is brewed which is an enormous plus. Outsides are clean with all amenities, entertainments, spacious car park, perfect location and quite at night. Can't recommend it more. We will come back, Joe the owner has an exceptional skills to make us feel comfortable and welcomed, such a Lady! You are welcome Joe, we lived our stay!

What a fantastic stay !! Myself and my mam stayed 4 nights as we were getting some renovations done at home. Where do I start Jo and Jim were outstanding hosts from the minute we arrived nothing was too much trouble. I was working from home and there was a lovely table in the room for me to set up. The breakfast is fab and the granola is so good you wont be disappointed. There is a lovely cosy sitting room which we enjoyed every evening the fire was so welcoming and we even enjoyed a glass of wine and jo kindly provided the glasses and said make yourself as home. I would highly recommend the railway country house to anyone coming to the area you wont be disappointed Highly recommended!!

Stunning property located in a quiet area surrounded by beautiful gardens.

We were fortunate enough to stay in this beautiful guesthouse, and our stay from was flawless from start to finish.

The bedrooms are spotlessly clean and well equipped.

The breakfast was outstanding. We were supplied with copious amounts of tea and lovely fresh coffee.
The cooked breakfast offered local fresh ingredients.
The banana bread was divine.

Jo and Jim are just so warm and friendly. They actually exceed your expectations!
Jim dropped us off in town without even being asked. They both just can’t do enough for you. Lovely, warm and kind people.

If you are in the Gorey area please stay here. It’s simply wonderful!

We will be back...

Myself and 4 of my friends stayed here this past weekend and we couldn't recommend it enough!! Jo and all of the staff are absolutely lovely people and make you feel right at home there. The house itself is beautiful and not to mention absolutely SPOTLESS!! The rooms are up to date and the beds are comfortable and come with all faciu. We enjoyed sitting out in the garden area later also it was so peaceful. We really enjoyed the breakfast it was so nice and we did not get pushed in and out we were left to relax and enjoy our food in our own time even though it was very busy. I will be returning here very soon :) P.S we love the dogs!!

Trip advisor only allows for up to 5 out of five but to be honest it should be at 10 or 20 out of 5. Jo and her husband Jim are extremely accommodating, kind and such gentle people. It is now the second time I have stayed here and both times were an absolutely fabulous experience. The people are fantastic, the bedroom and common areas are beautiful so I cannot recommend this place enough. If you're staying in Gorey, this should be your first choice each time!

We were warmly greeted at the RCH despite our late arrival.
Our room was comfortable, plenty of closet space and a nice view of very pretty grounds. I was glad to see solar panels providing green energy to the house and grid.
From the nice dining area you can watch the chickens and ducks that provide fresh eggs for a delicious Irish breakfast. There are many other options for breakfast, but shy skip an Irish breakfast?
Jo and Jim are genial hosts, willing to take time to chat and obviously proud of their lovely B&B.
I would heartily recommend the RCH when you travel to Wexford. We are looking forward to a return visit down the road.

We had a lovely family weekend here - surroundings are just stunning and the house itself is spectacular. Jo & Jim are truly wonderful hosts, making every holiday as it should be, relaxing, comfortable and most enjoyable - we will most definitely be returning. So close to all tourist aspects within Wexford from shopping to sight seeing. Our breakfast was delicious, with a fresh pot of coffee to die for.
This is 100% how a country guest house should be ran, true champions.
