Coolhilla B&B is fabulous, the tops of our trip! Our family of four had just come away from two so-so B&B's when we booked at Coolhilla-what a treat! We were greeted warmly by Catherine and her husband. Our timing was perfect for tea and hot apple tart. The house is lovely and very welcoming. The rooms nicely decorated and clean. We felt so at home after a few minutes we booked a second night. The Cappoquin area is quaint, off the beaten path but enough to see to keep you comfortably busy for two days. Lismore Castle gardens make a nice stroll, driving through "The Vee" is a must, giving you magnificient views and if you fish The Blackwater River is at your feet. The monestary is also a nice diversion, beautiful setting for pictures. We would definately visit this area again and return to Coolhilla!…
