Can only endorse all the previous positive reviews. Have stayed on several occasions over the last few years and the standard of service never waivers. the owners are attentive and considerate and cater for your every need. The building itself has lots of character and reflects an earlier era of dark wood and solid staircases, with lots of interesting paintings but is both clean and atmospheric. The rooms are a good size, with comfortable beds and spacious functional en-suite bath and shower. Free Wifi and ample secure parking. Cooked and continental breakfast available, with evening meals by arrangement with the hosts. A comfortable lounge with tea, coffee and ginger biscuits. Above all very reasonably priced

So quiet and peaceful and tucked away in a little village is this gem of a hotel. Paintings and antiques everywhere. Comfortable room a and a blissful nights sleep. Monastery next door and plenty of walks in the area. Staff and locals very friendly. Can't wait to go again.

I've stayed here four times and more is a must. The value is the best anywhere, and it’s 100% genuine. The atmosphere is old-fashioned quality. Clean, cosy and atmospheric. Dave, the host, and his good wife Mary are the definition of kindness and genuine care. It’s all done with humour and real good will. The food is just great quality and mighty tasty.

A hotel full of character, very friendly staff, in a beautiful area. Security is good with electronic combination locks on the electric entry gates, front door & inner door. Plenty of parking is available directly in front of the building.
