The hotel is very beautiful, going by the name we thought it would not be comfortable, we were pleasently surprised at how comfortable and clean it is. The owners were very friendly and made us feel at home. The hotel has got an at home feel about it. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

We stayed here for two nights and were sorely tempted to add at least one extra night to our stay. The owners are very welcoming, helpful, and know a lot about the surrounding area. There's a good selection for breakfast and in the summer months you can also get a tasty meal in the evenings. The hotel is only about a ten minute drive away from Cappoquin but it's on a lesser known mountain pass road with little traffic and some great views. We hope to visit again in the future.

My husband and I stayed here overnight and it was so relaxing. A beautiful house. Neil our host was very accommodating. The room was what I love, old country style, vintage. Clean and quaint. There is a monastery near the hotel u can walk to, to have a look. The hotel is full of history. Very secure. The bed was comfortable and shower more than adequate. Highly recommend.

Out in the country, this is the perfect getaway from everything urban. Absolutely loved my drive through the countryside to get to the hotel. It is a well-tended old building, room was cozy and comfortable. The host even graciously served me a dinner long after everyone else had eaten and carried on. Would stay again with these warm hosts.

Excellent out of the way getaway. Way out in the country and very quit. Good place to slow down and get close to yourself. Proprietor is very cordial and makes a fine Irish breakfast (extra cost and seasonal). There is no excitement here, just relaxation. Think rural.
