Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were put on to Helen by a friend who lives in Fethard. From the time we drove in we were all in love. This beautiful old house is run as a B&B and Helen has kept its charm and yet upgraded aspects that made a difference. The decor is lovely and Helen was such a wonderful hostess. Her breakfasts were a hit. We will definitely stay there again! This would work great for family, couples or a group of friends. Of course it didn't hurt that we were surrounded by paddocks with horses :-)

This beautiful Georgian house tucked away in the country side was such a wonderful find. We experienced the height of Irish hospitality here from Helen and Gina. We were treated like members of family for our short stay there. We had the run of the whole house and the grounds, and spent most of our time reading outside in the beautiful garden and relaxing by the fire with our hostesses. It was a wonderful way to connect with a local, sharing stories and getting to know each other. We had dinner in the quaint town of Clonmel and breakfast was made by Helen. We got to know the family dogs and cat and generally just had a great time. My one minor concern was that they do not stock the bedroom with shampoo or bath soap, and there was no stand-up shower in our room. However, I made

We stayed for a girls night out in June. What a treat! We dined in the stunning dinning room on a fabulous meal cooked by Helen. The night followed in wonderful ambience and tranquil elegant surroundings. If I was getting married again, I would be booking this as my venue. I cannot recommend this highly enough and would encourage anyone to sample it's elegant, authentic style & comfort.

We could never have imagined what a magical experience one night in Clonacody House would be. Helen and Michael welcomed us in and went above and beyond what anyone could expect. They helped us connect with locals who helped us find the grave of my husband's great-great grandfather along with many other family members, which we could never have found on our own! The warm fires, the peaceful views, the beautiful home, the wonderful breakfast were all so much more than we could have dreamed. If you find yourself in this area, you will not regret stopping here. I only wish we could have stayed longer!!

My cousin had a great gatsby themed hen night at this fabulous venue. From the moment we arrived we were treated o the warmest welcome by Helen and Michael. The house is unbelievably comfortable and decorated to a beautiful standard. Candles and fairy lights adorned every nook and cranny making it the most magical hen night I've ever had the pleasure of attending. Our family will be using this venue for many years to come, for christenings and birthday parties. We cannot wait to go bck. I have also learned it is possible to rent rooms on a nightly basis, b&b for just 99 yoyos. Great value for for such an opulent, warm, homely house. I literally cannot recommend Clonacody House highly enough. Steeped in history and set in acres of beautiful Tipperary countryside. You won't

Oh oh oh what a spectacular House, steeped in history which Helen really enjoyed telling us about, from the welcome, the family photographs, the silver tea spoons, the delicious orange cake, the amazingly comfy beds,, the ambiance of the drawing room we had all to ourselves which Helen had candles dotted around the room, the log fire slowly burning and the background music on spotify, to the make yourself at home atmosphere !!!! ...... I could go on and go about this gem of a House, but, just GET there and experience it for yourself. Thank you both Helen and Michael for being fantastic hosts. We'll be back, can't wait xx

We only had one night here and I wish we had more. The room we had was right at the top of the house and was delightfully decorated. The views of the hills in the distance were amazing and there was a wonderful sense of being away from it all. Helen and Michael are marvellous hosts and serve a delicious breakfast in the morning, We were told to make ourselves at home, and we did, luxuriating in the spacious drawing room with an open wood fire and comfy sofas to sink into and spend some time reading. While Clonacody doesn't have food on offer, just up the road in Fethard there's McCarthy's for some wonderful food. Helen booked for us and told us all the best places to go. A wonderful country house to stay at.

Clonacody House has something special to offer its guests, the grounds are lovely, the house itself is very warm, welcoming and comfortable, but it is Helen and Michael who bring that something extra to the equation, the words grace charm and accommodating spring to mind.A group of us attended a workshop/ reunion there recently and it was an ideal venue. Our every need was met and requests welcomed and attended to efficiently. This is a beautuful place to visit and stay. The rooms are tastefully furnished and the food excellent. It brings country house accommodation to a new level. I look forward to going back! Mary

We booked Clonacody House for a family christening and I can highly recommend it. Helen and Mike made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them either before or during the event - Mike event lent one of the guests a shirt when he got coffee on his own! The sitting rooms are beautiful and perfect for a family of varied age groups to mix in. The bedrooms and bathrooms are stunning as are the views. We had 25 people for lunch and the food and service was excellent. Clonacody House is wonderful for a family event, a friends reunion or a break away from the crowd for rest and recuperation.
