Lovely quiet house spotlessly clean and well equipped. The house has a beautiful garden, the house is set well back from the road. It is well signposted. Mary is a friendly welcoming host would definitely stay in Philmar again. Breakfast was good too with plenty of choice.

We really enjoyed this B&B. First of all, Mary couldn't do enough for us. She kindly upgraded us to a larger room that was unoccupied. It had a private entrance and was toward the back of the house. She is very personable and was very good about giving us tips about places to go and see. The grounds around the house are really pretty and we could sit outside in the front garden or on the back deck that had a table and umbrella. We were provided a made to order breakfast the was delicious and generous. This was one of our favorite places .

Extremely comfortable and very welcoming with a great tip for a local pub where we interacted for almost an hour even though they didn't serve food on that night but were then informed of another location to have our dinner.

Mary is a friendly and caring host, and cooked us a delicious Irish breakfast! The rooms are small and simple but clean and sufficient. The location is good if you're driving, five minutes to Ross point, and various restaurants (try austies) in that direction, and just a short drive the other way from the town centre.

This b & b is one of the best we have stayed in on our 3 weeks touring Ireland. The rooms were nicely decorated and very clean. The lounge was comfortable. Close to a bar and restaurant that serve good food. Breakfast was amazing all the bread was homemade. Host was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

My boyfriend and I decided to stay here last minute on a long trip to Galway. We had never stayed in a B and B before and we're a bit apprehensive but we loved every minute. Room and bathroom were clean and tidy with just enough space. Breakfast was lovely and filled us up for the day. Mary the host was amazing - friendly and informative. We would go back and highly recommend ☺️
