We booked Radisson Blu in Sligo for a family stay during our summer holidays in July, the hotel was booked out while we were there but it did not feel over crowded at any time. We were a group of 2 grandparents, our daughter and 2 grandchildren. This is probably our third time at this hotel and as always it never disappoints. We booked using the Radisson Hotel app, which is so easy to use and we love to see the reward points building up and the extras that you get while at the hotel. There is always plenty of free and safe parking at the front of the hotel. From checking in, until we left we all had a great time and found every member of staff we encountered very professional, friendly and helpful, they were all great with our grandchildren. Our rooms as well as the whole hotel were spotlessly clean and had everything we needed during our stay. We ate in the the bar on our first evening and found the menu had plenty of choices for us all. I loved the chicken wings and the Chili prawn linguini was delicious with great wine choices. We always love the breakfast, the variety of food is really amazing, one of our grandchildren is diary intolerant and there was still a great variety for him to choose from. The pool area has 3 sections, a baby pool, a shallow pool with a built in bench that has gentle bubbles and the main pool area with a section cordoned off for anyone wanting to do a few lengths. We were in the pool at least once each of the days during our stay, and we all commented that it is probably the best kept pool area that we have ever come across in a hotel. Spotlessly clean, warm and so safe for the children with us, the pool staff were so friendly and encouraging the children with their attempts at swimming, the children really loved the pool, especially the spray jet, it was great fun. We have already booked the hotel for our winter break and would definitely recommend it. It is so close to Sligo town and Rosses point beaches so a great base for exploring the area.

Situated in a perfect spot between Sligo town & Rosses point, with lovely views. From the moment you step in the door, you get something you sadly don't get with other hotels; refreshing air (instead of oppressive heat) & a warm welcome. It's a smile & one word; welcome- priceless. The hotel has another thing other hotels are afraid of; colour, finally, no more bland beige. In the room, something simple, that all hotels should have been doing since at least the start of the 21st century; a recycling bin! Also, if you hang the sign on your door 'clean the planet, not my room' you get a 5euro discount off your meal. Their are PLENTY of vegan, vegetarian & alternative food options available, and the dishes are interesting and not the typical hotel staples. Usually the leisure center & spa are situated in a dark basement, but the hotel is built tiered with every level facing towards the sea. This makes the leisure center spacious & bright. The spa has a beautiful design with a relation area & thermal suite. The vibe in the hotel is also really nice. The new construction of a wellness walk is a lovely touch with loads of fresh herbs.

Myself, my husband and our three children stayed here in December for one night and the service we received was amazing from start to finish. I rang a few hours before checking in and spoke to Matthew, one of the managers, to see if we could book dinner. He asked if there was a special occasion that we were celebrating and I told him that it was my birthday. He then kindly offered a complimentary drink for both my husband and I with our dinner. We were kept busy during dinner trying to keep our active toddler entertained and we were taking turns watching her in the reception area during the first part of our meal. One of the lovely cleaning ladies saw us and offered a buggy which is kept at reception and she wasn't long falling asleep in the buggy, letting us enjoy the rest of our dinner in peace! Our booking was 2 rooms to cater to all five of us and I assumed that we would be separated for the night as that has been our experience the last few times we have stayed in hotels as a family of five. I was delighted to find out that our two rooms were connected by a door in the middle. I was even happier when i saw that Matthew had arranged for chocolate to be left in the room as another birthday treat! The rooms were also lovely, spacious and clean. We slept in later than we intended the next morning as our toddler was teething and not in great form during the night so we had our breakfast (great selection of food and drinks), intending to pack up and leave soon after. We met Matthew at reception again and he offered us a late check out, with no extra charge! I was absolutely delighted as this gave us a chance to use the pool. It was a lovely ending to a lovely stay. I will be definitely returning to this hotel at some point as our experience was just so positive. I really felt like they went above and beyond for us. Thank you Matthew and all for the great getaway.

Loved this hotel, the staff where excellent! Nothing was to much trouble and always smiling, the hotel was spotless, the swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi where also spotless and very inviting, food was top notch, they forgot our mains 1 of the nights, we didn't mind as just enjoying the atmosphere but we waited an hour, but as an apology they deducted some drinks of our bill, there was a wedding at the hotel during our stay and its either the quietest wedding ever or the hotel has super soundproofing! Never heard anything, we loved every minute of our stay, will definitely be back!

I checked out of the Radisson Blue Hotel and Spa, Sligo 30 minutes ago and i will not be returning. I paid well above average for a 2 night stay in a 4 star hotel and i have very little good to say about this hotel. my complaints include: 1. The beds were incrediably hard and neither night did any of us have a good nights sleep 2. The walls were paper thin, the first morning we woke up to the noise of the voices in the room next door. On are second night we returned to our room at 2am to only to lie in our beds listening to the beat of tunes played at the function downstairs. 3. The bedding was inadequate, There was not enough pillows and the duvet was sub quality standard. 4. The food resembled a school canteen, Breakfast was a mediocre self service irish breakfast and upon check in on friday night i was served a fish and chips in the bar which may as well have come from a fast food restaurant, the fish was incrediably greasy as a result i removed the batter only to be greated with a terriable cut of fish. 5. The hair dryer was weak, it only blew cold air. we rang down to reception and they provided us with a second one which was no better. This is not the standard of accessories i expect in a 4 star hotel. 6. Towels, For 3 fully grown adults this establishment provided us with 2 bath towels. in conclusion i would not reccomend you to stay at this hotel considering the price you are being charged

So disappointed with the breakfast. Everything was good up to then.
Fully expecting a staff member to ask if we wanted tea/coffee. When realised no cups/saucers on table my husband went to enquire. No breakfast menu just a hot/cold buffet. As I have limited mobility, I was dependent on my husband to tell me what was on offer and to bring me food. The coffee and hot water (no lemon) was a real health and safety issue as the hot drinks had to be carried carefully over to the table.
Reminder me of hotels 30 years ago which provided a breakfast buffet, although in fairness this one was better. I only take gluten free bread so again my husband had to go in search. Staff member pointed in direction of where he might find it. He says there were 3 pieces of bread there, 2 ok but third had seen better days. In fairness there was a toaster especially for gluten free bread.
Really missed not being offered a menu as this year I’ve stayed in hotels in Galway and Westport of similar price both of which had a menu so as soon as we sat down a pot of hot water and lemon were brought straight to the table as were poached eggs on gluten free bread and in one hotel poached eggs on smashed avocado toast.
Really expected a much more enjoyable breakfast especially after paying over €300 for one night for double room.

Really lovely view from the breakfast/restaurant. Plenty of parking. Lovely friendly lady checked us in late in the evening. Bar seems to have great atmosphere but unfortunately my children weren't up to it. Swift to get through the queues at breakfast. Swimming pool check in very easy and dressing rooms spacious and very clean. All staff we met were very helpful. I love the iNua hotels new policy of €5 off food if you don't have your room cleaned , over a two night trip it wasn't needed. Also wonderful to see a recycling bin in the hotel room for paper etc. Very comfortable bed and spacious room with converted chair bed for one child. Large clean bathroom.

I was at a concert in the Radisson yesterday with my friend we decided to go out early for food . Yes we realized we should have pre booked a table . The waitress told us to come back in 5 minutes and she will tell us if there was a free table 15-20 minutes later she said there was no free tables but I pointed out there was as I could clearly see free tables oh they are pre booked and she proceeded to let walk-ins behind us in she saw that we weren't impressed and said oh I now have a free table . We didn't get the typical bar menu only a 3 course with 3 options we only choose a mains and my friend got no veg there was no manager on duty and we were charged 57 for 2 main courses that were nothing to write home about . The staff clearly didn't know what they were doing and when a big concert like that is on there should be a manager around. We have decided we won't be going back to a concert there or for food in a hurry . I work in another hotel you always see a manager about and you can order off the bar menu or eat in the restaurant.

We checked in here yest myself and my daughter. We had a standard king size room and it was fab. Bed was huge and we had a great sleep. There was also a comfy armchair and little couch in the room. Bottle opener was a nice touch too along with a mini fridge. Bathroom was lovely. It was spotless. We ate in the waves bar. Hands down the nicest pornstar martini I ever had and my daughter loved her mocktail. The food was gorgeous. Even though the bar was busy there was no delays and we didn't feel rushed. We used the pool twice, again really nice and clean. Towels given going in but they are tiny so defo recommend bringing a bigger one down from the room. Had a great night sleep and even though the hotel was busy and there was a wedding there was no noise. The Air con is a welcome addition also. We had breakfast included. That's the only fault I could find. We went down at 8.45 for brekkie which I would consider early but alot of the buffet foods were dried out. They did bring more out a few mins later. The bacon and sausages weren't nice at all. Everything else was edible but we didn't enjoy. We could have came after a rush not too sure but to me breakfast items should be stocked all the time and dried up good removed as it is an expensive stay. Aside from the breakfast everything else was top class. The staff were all lovely. We really really enjoyed our stay and hope to return another time.
