Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a wonderful time at Castle Leslie, such a relaxing place. All staff were so friendly and professional, food and service were top class. We stayed in the Jigsaw suite in the Lodge, it was beautifully decorated/ spacious and spotlessly clean. Really enjoyed the beautiful scenery and walks. Can't wait to return, thank you!

Hotel's Favourite
We attended Castle Leslie for a wedding and it was fabulous. Each room was so warm and welcoming at the hotel . We stayed at the lodge and the room was simply gorgeous, wished we stayed a bit longer to explore more around the estate . The breakfast at the Snaffle was the best meal I ever had , so fresh and tasty . The staff were so accommodating and friendly especially the trip we made between the Lodge and Hotel . Hope I will visit there again.

We are just back from a lovely overnight in the Castle part of the resort. We had a top class experience, beautiful surroundings, fantastic staff who were so helpful and pleasant and wholly informative and knew their business, from food to wine and the locality. Will visit again. Thank you all.

Huge grounds, very attentive staff, great food, horses and a fishing lake. What more is there We stayed in the lodge and the room was very well finished feeling both modern and in keeping with the historical property. My wife and I loved this little gem. Really enjoyed the local pottery school and walking the grounds.

We came as part of an Equestrian Package. Wow! Bucket list item, CHECKED! This place is amazing. The staff was so friendly, the food was phenomenal, and the equestrian center… I am going to be dreaming of this place for years to come. The instructors were so great! They pushed me harder than I ever imagined and I feel I am a better rider today because of it. ALL of the horses were perfection. Russell will always have a place in my heart. Hopefully, I can return and do it all again soon.

This honestly was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The room was amazing, everything good quality. On our last night, we went to snaffles, and they did so much to make it special. The staff were so kind and polite, and every time we to have breakfast they remembered us and our order, making things much easier. We will definitely be returning.

Took a midweek overnight stay, with the 5 course dining experience. Exceptionally personal, friendly and professional staff - from stepping through the door to leaving. Warm, clean, cosy room at the lodge, with very comfortable bed, and our own little courtyard. Dining experience was faultless. The Snaffles restaurant maitre d, a delightfully communicative, knowledgeable and very approachable young Portuguese woman (whose name I regret not asking) was the perfect host. We were educated on the ingredients of our meal: no effort was spared on providing the perfect service (we were told to take our time between service, savour the meal, relax and enjoy): our host and her staff were the personification of perfection. The food was divine; perfect portions, beautiful presentations, and exquisite flavours. Breakfast was a similar banquet, delivered by wonderful staff. We walked round the grounds and took time to explore the castle accommodation as well. We will be back and have decided to stay at the castle itself. One of the most relaxing stays, with the most fantastic food, with the most fantastic staff I have experienced in many years. Can’t wait to go back.

Lovely mini escape to Castle Leslie. We stayed in the blue room with lovely views out to the gardens and Lough. Dinner is served at the lodge with a choice of fine dining or pub and they drove us there and back. Breakfast fantastic. Lovely bar, drawing room and library. In fact all lovely! Would definitely go again.

I am a returning customer and yet again an extremely happy one . I was booked in for one night and recieved an upgrade to the Red room in the Castle .I have stayed in the Castle twice before and each time the rooms were beautiful but the Red room was just simply stunning from the bed , bathroom, furniture too the large windows all prefect. A quick trip to the drawing room for reception and then a few pints of the Castles gorgeous stout. Snaffles the restaurant was next for a first class meal with first class service, then back to the Red room for a night's sleep on the most comfortable mattress and pillows. I cannot fault this Gem of a hotel the grounds, decor , food, drink, service and staff are all first class. I leave this place each time with a heavy heart but already looking forward to my next stay . Everyone needs to try this place at least once. Take a bow Castle Leslie staff and management. 👏

Stayed in a superior room in the Lodge, and it was fantastic. The room was spotless, and there was a gorgeous freestanding bath and a rain shower in the bathroom. The TV (which could be concealed behind bookcases if you wished), had a chromecast/screen mirroring, so you can play whatever apps you have on your phone like Netflix, etc. All the staff couldn't do enough for us (Paul, etc.) Brilliant value, great food, everything was top quality, and the beautiful horses in the equestrian centre were a lovely added bonus! The estate is stunning with picturesque walks and lakes. We got a very interesting and informative tour of the castle too. You would never be bored. I would highly recommend Castle Leslie.
