We had to book a night in Portlaoise last minute and O'Loughlin's was the only place with rooms available. We had to book a twin room as there were no doubles left. It wasn't expensive but I still don't think we got our money's worth. On a positive note, the food was lovely in the bar (we had scones early...

Pros: This is the 2nd time I've stayed here. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is delicious with plenty of options. Location is right in the middle of town with ample parking out the back. The Java Republic tea in the room and the coffee in the restaurant are mind-blowingly delicious. Water pressure in the shower is fantastic. I also had ample...

Visited Portlaoise briefly as had a family occasion to attend in nearby Portarlington. Hotel is indeed in a great location, a one way system, but easy to navigate to rear secure parking of hotel by driving by, and taking the next 3 lefts and finally entering Railway street. We had booked online, and selected breakfast in room rate, also we...

Ate here on a Sunday at lunch time - good menu and plenty of variety. Portion size is big with plenty of veg and potato. Service was good and staff were very friendly. Overall a good dinner reasonably priced.

Not bad value for money. Nice warm room on a very cold evening. It was clean and staff where very nice as was the food. A good hearty full Irish with fresh made eggs to youre liking. That's what gives the edge over the larger chains that sometimes serve the hard plastic eggs in a buffet. It's right on the...
