I recently stayed at Roundwood House with friends and I absolutely loved it. The house is so old and full of charm and character, and made a lovely change from staying in modern mainstream hotels. All the rooms are beautiful and each is uniquely decorated. Dinner was excellent. Paddy and Hannah were wonderful hosts, but I have to admit the...

Spent a weekend in Roundwood. Superb hospitality, the house is fascinating with lovely grounds. Hannah and Paddy our hosts were very welcoming. We had two dinners and the food was excellent. There are lots of local walks, some challenging and some not so! I would thoroughly recommend and intend to go back.

Booked dinner in Roundwood House for my mother's birthday. Food was fantastic and hospitality was great. Paddy even came out with his guitar and sang her 'Happy Birthday' which was a lovely personal touch. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Hannah and Paddy have created a haven from the bustle and noise of modern life- offering peaceful tranquility, superb cuisine and a warm Irish welcome! Round wood House is a step back in time when people mattered, when conversation and naturalness was in plenty. Go there take your slippers and walking shoes, sit by logs fires and dine like a...

I feel like a criminal in not having written this review sooner because Roundwood was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland last spring. It is a quintessential Irish country estate that transports you back to another time and place. The house and grounds are lovely, but of course it is the charming young couple who make the...

We had a brilliant hen party last weekend at Roundwood. The setting is beautiful - An old country house, full of character and warmth. We were very well looked after by Paddy and Hannah and the hosts - It was a very relaxed environment. The food was excellent - all home cooked, and nice portion sizes. The library was decorated...

I had the great fortune to discover this place and stay a couple of nights. It is such a lovely place to spend time, slow down, savour the experience of staying in a beautiful and elegant old estate, quirky and friendly and filled with character. It is filled with fascinating features, books, pictures and people. Don't come here when you're...

Wonderful hosts, highly recommendable. We were lucky to have booked a night at Roundwood, too bad it was only for one night. Run by a family with history in the house, and the personal touch shows. Excellent dinner (warn them of any food allergies beforehand) and a very cozy room where you can have a drink next to a fireplace.

We had a wonderful time staying there for 2 days. The house is old, but in a wonderful way; the food is to die for; but the people are what make it special. Paddy, Hannah, and their 2 wonderful daughters, Lucy and Amelie, make the whole experience a fun and welcoming one. When most rooms were taken up by a...
