This is an old style hotel and very centrally located.Car parking is free and very safe. The decor may not be modern and up to date but the hotel is extremely clean. The food is always delicious and fresh without the inch thick coating of butter.Dinner is exceptional value, served with lots of fresh vegetables and the helpings are very generous. The reviews on here are most amusing and I'm having a chuckle to myself as I sit in reception (the only place to get a wifi connection) with a number of guests behind me eating dinner in complete silence except for the scrape of cutlery against crockery and Mrs Monaghan at her station glaring at me for having the audacity... I stayed in this b&b for 2 nights and was very dissapointed with how the reception lady treats her customers. Really bad experiance. Never in my life have i seen a person who is supposed to work with people and welcome them in a hotel to be so uninterested. Other than that, breakfast is great, the crew serving breakfast is... I was on a course in Naas and decided to check in due to a long journey home. I could not believe how rude the women behind the desk was. She literally looked at me like dirt while eating her dinner. I got to the room that was dark and damp and I went back down to get a refund... More

After reading the reviews prior to stay last weekend I was very apprehensive. Couldn't be more wrong. Nice hotel, very hospitable and well looked after by Mrs Monaghan and her staff & a great bar man .

Grand spot, mrs monaghan could smile a little bit more but fair play to her for sticking at the job, grand aul room, a bit dated but cheap and cheerful, comfortable bed and shower was good. Id probably stay again sometime in the future, I never tried the bar so cant comment on the guinness unfortunately

Usually visit this hotel a few times a year and have our Christmas Party here most years as well. I love the place and the food is excellent value and the service is second to none. Mrs Monaghan is a very kind and helpful lady and I am a fan of hers. Peter - Polio

Only one good thing- The breakfast lady- She was so polite and helpful. I think she should go on Front desk!! Now the bad points- 1- Mrs Monaghan needs to go! They need someone with a better attitude on the front desk! She looked at me and my husband as if we were dirt! We both got the feeling that... More

I was a little bit put off by some of the reviews here on trip advisor but I decided to book a few nights at the hotel as I was going to a wedding in the area. I was pleasantly surprised to find a centrally located hotel with old world values - clean, hospitable & good food. It was a... More
