We stayed one night while attending a function nearby. Libby is a wonderful, warm, friendly hostess who welcomed and showed us to our rooms personally. The house is a beautiful old Manor full of character and charm with newly refurbished en-suites. Breakfast was an absolute treat, freshly squeezed juices, eggs from her own hens and dietary requirements catered for with delicious home baking. A stay is a must! Jane Sykes

My husband and I and three friends stayed here at Libby Sheehy’s famous Springfield House while attending a local function. We were greeted on arrival and shown to our wonderful period bedroom. The house is a lovely old manor full of character and curiosities, and yet has all the comfort of modern amenities. The bathroom looks recently refurbished and has a contemporary rain shower. The beds a very comfortable and we had a blissful nights sleep. AND breakfast! Wow, apart from the usual fare of fruit/cereal/ eggs bacon etc, we were treated to homemade cinnamon rolls and ‘springfield kisses’, a devilish treat ! Have to find another excuse to go and stay again Helga Ryan.

I stayed in the Springfield B&B for one night when attending a wedding party near by. Libby the owner was extremely friendly and accommodating. The house is beautiful and the room I stayed in was really comfortable. Breakfast was delicious - cooked as requested and served bang on the time requested. It’s a gem of a B&B and I hope to have the opportunity to return someday!

This stay could have been memorable for all the wrong reasons. Had just arrived to Celbridge for a wedding and after the ceremony our car had broken down in the village. We got a taxi to Springfield where we were greeted by two very friendly Great Dane dogs. Peter came and showed us to our wonderful room where we were then asked for what we wanted for breakfast and how we would like it cooked. He then took us across the road to the wedding venue and the next morning he took us to our broken down car and tried to jump start it for us. This was a wonderful stay at the most elegant and luxurious B & B you are likely to ever encounter. The service was 5 star, the room was spacious, spotless and cosy. I can not recommend this B & B highly enough.

Stayed a couple of nights while attending a wedding nearby. The place is nice and staff is friendly. The rooms are all quite different (I stayed in 2) and the whole vibe is very much homely. Nothing is state of the art but all decorated and run by friendly owner. Not the kind of place to stay if you want privacy/standard rooms. All are a bit quirky.

Very good historical home which is beautifully furnished. I stayed in the Guest Room which was spacious and full of character with an extremely comfortable bed. I struggled a bit with getting the shower temperature adequate, but a minor detail. Bathroom large & spacious. No tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms although there’s a kettle/hot water dispenser and facility in the breakfast room so this wasn’t a problem. The host favours wheat gluten free baking - not my thing really but for those for whom it is you will be well served.

We stayed at this B&B at the beginning and end of our trip. Being just outside Dublin in Celbridge it was convenient coming from or going to Dublin airport. This manor is beautifully decorated with antiques and fantastic oil paintings. The bedroom we had had a cozy fireplace that was welcomed on a cool and wet fall day. The breakfast room is an elegant dinning room reminiscent of Downton Abbey. The best part is Libby the hostess who makes you feel like your family and her helper Adrian who was a great help to our group. We wishes we could of stayed here longer.

Libby is a superb hostess and her B&B is both elegant and comfortable, with a lovely property to walk and enjoy the animals. This was like an oasis after having been in Dublin the previous day. The price was very reasonable. We would definitely go back to this B&B if ever in Ireland again.

Stayed recently as I was attending a wedding at the Cliffs at Lyons, which is about 10mins from the B&B. I had a wonderful night in Springfield, Libby and are team we're very attentive and welcoming. A beautiful old Manor House with lots of charm, and beautiful grounds. My room was very clean and spacious with the most beautiful bed. Libby's pecan and fig cakes were delicious the next morning, a wonderful pick me up after a fun night celebrating! Thanks for having! S.
