Stayed 1 night mid week with Mary. We were well pleased with our room the house was spotless. The breakfast was plentiful & beautifully cooked. Mary & the family were most helpful and I would have no hesitation in recommending this B&B

This B&B is located in a working farm and has a gorgeous setting. The room was nice and comfortable and clean. However, what makes us want to come back to this place is the owner Mary. She was born to be in the hospitality business: she is attentive to the guests needs, cooks the perfect breakfast with home made scones, eggs to order, fresh cream, yogurt, bread, fresh fruits and went above and beyond to welcome us at almost 8:30 pm with a cup of tea, scones, jam and cream. We were driving in from Dublin airport after a long flight and this B&B is conveniently located. Excellent place to stay to get rid of jet lag very fast. We felt so welcomed as if we were arriving at a dear friends house. So nothing else can beat that. Kudos to you Mary!

Staying with Mary is a real treat. We stayed for the second ( or maybe third) time last week and we had our adult children with us. Always a lovely welcome with tea and scones and nothing is too much trouble. Mary is so accommodating and her home is lovely. Quiet setting on a dairy farm . Her sons were eager to help and answer questions and the home is just lovely. The new addition of a family/game room is beautiful. I feel like we are home at Mary's B&B. Breakfast was amazing ! Won't stay anywhere else near Athy, my ancestral home !!!! Thanks so much, Mary.

This is the best B&B I have stayed in and the service from Mary and her family would put a lot of 5 star Hotels to shame.
Afternoon tea with homemade scones and homemade jam, an idyllic setting, what more could you ask for?
We will certainly be returning.

+1
Mary and her husband have a truly amazing farm and B & B! We were so blessed to have found her superb location! The apt adjacent to the main home was where we stayed with our teenage son. This was perfect. The entire suite is handicap accessible and it was absolutely spotless clean! Mary was so accommodating offering restaurants, directions and her cooking is SUPERB! We spent our last night in Ireland here and found it a quick run to Dublin to the airport. Mary served one of the best breakfasts we had during our 2 week stay! and that's such a super end to a wonderful trip home to visit friends and cousins. I wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the beauty of the midlands a bit more.

We arrived at Ballindrum farm on an extremely wet Saturday afternoon, where we were met by Mary who runs the bed and breakfast, she so friendly welcoming us to her home her friendliness bought a ray of sunshine into an otherwise pretty dismal day. Once she had shown us to our rooms and we were settled in we were given another a lovely surprise of tea and coffee with homemade scones and homemade jam, it was wonderful. Even though Mary was going out that evening she couldn't do enough for us. We were staying here as we visiting The Curragh racecourse on the next day and before we left we had a lovely breakfast. We stayed here for 2 nights and would have happily stayed here for longer and look forward to staying here again when we return to this part of Ireland.

My husband and I just returned from a weekend in County Kildare. We stayed at Ballindrum Farm and had a wonderful time. On Arrival Mary greeted us with coffee and fresh homemade scones and jam. Delicious! Our room and the ensuite bathroom were spotless, with views over the fields. The breakfast in the morning was plentiful and tasty. Freshly made fruit salad, different cereals, home baked breads and home made jam, freshly squeezed Orange Juice, coffee or tea, and a selection of cooked breakfasts with toast. Yummy! We had a wonderful stay at Ballindrum Farm and can highly recommend it. Mary and Vincent definitely deserve every award they have received so far and more. Best B&B we have stayed at.

Mary has a masters in education and taught school for 32 years. She retired last year to take care of the B&B. She does a masterful job. Well organized and gracious.
We felt as if we were staying at a relatives home. Our room was comfortable and pretty. Coffee, tea and cookies in the room were a bonus.
We arrived 2 hrs earlier than scheduled and were greeted with a smile, homemade scones, jellies, tea, and coffee. Our room was ready too.
The breakfast the next morning was fantastic. We chose the traditional Irish breakfast which was made to order. Delicious!
The B&B is located on a beautifully kept farm with chickens, cows, beautiful flowers and grounds. You can watch milking of the cows 2x day. The eggs don't get any fresher.
You won't go wrong staying here.

Mary's Bed and Breakfast was the best B&B that we stayed at in Ireland & scotland.
Mary was very accommodating & extremely nice. It was truly a delight to stay two nights at her place. It was very clean. It was a real treat to see new born cows and how the milking takes place. I would highly recommend her B&B to anyone thinking about staying.

On our way to lovely Kenmare/Kerry, we stopped for the night at Ballindrum B&B.
While much has been written about Irish gentle and caring demeanour, this is a real treat.
Savoury and varied breakfast, spacious and comfortable accommodation (4 of us), and great chat with Mary on farming, family, and the wonders of technology.
Everything you'd expect from a well-run B&B plus a personal, charming touch.
To top it all off, we had a chance to attend the morning milking process -a highly automated affair these days.
Major thumbs up for Ballindrum B&B!
