Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay at Ballindrum Farm bed and breakfast. Mary Gorman is a lovely, gracious hostess. The scones and jam were a welcome treat. The rooms are clean, crisp and comfortable. The location off the freeway, on a quiet country lane is easy to find, yet definitely in the quiet environment of the peaceful farm countryside. We enjoyed our breakfast and the attentiveness of Mary. We also enjoyed meeting her youngest son and felt as if we made new friends by staying there. I give it the highest recommendation.

We have used this B&B many times on our visits to Ireland, and also stayed at the brilliant self catering lodge whitch is a new venture. Mary, Vincent, and the boys make you feel at home from the off. Home made scones tea /coffee are served after you have settled in your room. The rooms are extremley clean and the furnishings and decor are also top drawer, the beds are realy comfortable, and all rooms have shower or bath. The Breakfast is varied and very good indeed. all in all a great place to stay ..

I never really bother leaving reviews, but I just had to for this place. The moment I arrived I felt at home. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Mary went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. She even went to the effort of providing soya milk when she learned that I was allergic to milk. The breakfast was delicious too. It really was a lovely break away from the city and I would highly recommend it.

Stayed in Ballindrum after the Bob Dylan concert in Kilkenny and slept very well. Enjoyed a lovely big breakfast and the banter at the breakfast table. Was like a sanctuary or oasis for weary travellers in the fields.

Arrived at this lovely farmhouse to be greeted with homemade scones and almond slices. Our room overlooked the farm, views of the chickens and calves were an added bonus to the surrounding countryside. After a good nights sleep we enjoyed a great breakfast all freshly made including Mary’s soda bread and jams. Highly recommend and would love to stay again. (Sorry Mary and Vincent for walking off with the room keys. Hope they arrived backed safely).

Mary is simply amazing!!!!
Rooms are modern and immaculate.
Breakfast is exceptional and home made (OMG the Jams are simply not from this planet ans neither is wonderful Mary ;-))
Thank you so much Mary for this little bit of Irish heaven !!!!!!

There are just no words to describe how exceptional this trip was and it was mostly due to how well Mary took care of us! The B & B was so warm & welcoming and Mary & her beautiful family went above & beyond to care for all the guests. I can not recommend her enough! She was a fountain of information, helped point us in the right direction when we left for travel during the day and ensured that we started each day off with a wonderful breakfast. The entire experience was great. If you are looking for a place to stay while traveling in Athy, do not miss out on this experience. Thank you Mary!! We miss you terribly!

Mary greeted us with open arms! We felt right at home at the Ballindrum Farm with the Holstein cows. We live in dairy cow country in Maryland and it was great to stay at a farm B and B. The room was comfortable and the shower was fantastic! Breakfast was absolutely delicious! The homemade scones and jams were wonderful. We will be back soon!! Thank you Mary!
