On our way to lovely Kenmare/Kerry, we stopped for the night at Ballindrum B&B. While much has been written about Irish gentle and caring demeanour, this is a real treat. Savoury and varied breakfast, spacious and comfortable accommodation (4 of us), and great chat with Mary on farming, family, and the wonders of technology. Everything you'd expect from a well-run B&B plus a personal, charming touch. To top it all off, we had a chance to attend the morning milking process -a highly automated affair these days. Major thumbs up for Ballindrum B&B!

Great place t spend the weekend. You get pampered with fresh scones and tea on arrival. a great breakfast and spotlessly clean accommodation. We stayed on the ground floor. maybe next time I would choose the first floor. Reduces floor noise.

First of all, I'm about to spend my night here, but I already feel compelled to say what a delight it has been so far. I'm overnighting as I've been in Kildare for work; and I'm travelling back to London later today. It took the cab driver a little while to find it, but we called Mary for directions and the solutions came straight away! Greeted by a lovely smile, offer of tea or coffee, shown to my room and a bed I knew I was going to fall into and rest/sleep soundly. Not only was tea ready folks, scones with butter and jam were present too. I've been lucky enough to stay in some swanky hotels, but this personal touch is second to none. My room has all I need; well stocked bathroom, tea making facilities, loads of biscuits, comfy bed. I'm looking forward to taking photos…

Booked this online and arrived early evening after flying in. Mary greeted us and showed us to our very comfy room. View from our upstairs room was beautiful. Breakfast was amazing. Best we have experienced in Ireland. Lovely to walk down to milking shed and chat with other farming folk. Would suggest this be your first choice for a B&B if you passing thru this area. You'll not be dissapointed. Thanks Mary 👍

This was our second stay at Ballindrum Farm. We were greeted with warm scones and fresh coffee. Mary sat and talked with us for quite a while. The youngest son, Joe, had entertained us 5 years ago, and gave us an encore performance. Quite the talented young man! The rooms are quite spacious as are the bathrooms. The views are spectacular. Mary gave us excellent directions to help us find the farm. She also gave us a great recommendation for dinner. I don't intend to wait 5 years to return!

We spent one night here as a group of five adults and one child. We were welcomed by Mary and straight away offered tea and coffee. While we checked into our rooms Mary and family set about making us a beautiful cream tea which was accompanied by gorgeous homemade breads and scones with generous amounts of homemade jams and cream. This was greatly appreciated as we had been travelling from Kerry early that morning. The rooms themselves were spotless and clean and the beds very comfortable. There was also water left in room for us and plenty of tea and coffee left as well in case we needed a cuppa during the evening. The breakfast provided next morning was great with lots of choice from fresh fruit salad to cereals and lots of cooked items on offer. Mary could not do…

After a long day of travel, it was a lovely surprise to be greeted by Mary. She offered us tea with fresh, warm scones. Her talented son even played for us - both guitar and the tin whistle. What a wonderful start to our stay. The rooms are spacious, updated, wi-fi enabled with bathrooms that are en-suite and modern. The common room has ping-pong and a large screen t.v. for opportunities to meet with other guests. The tree-lined lane that leads up to the farm is picturesque and provides a perfect place to take an evening stroll. Ballindrum is a wonderful place to get away and enjoy the country less than an hour's drive from Dublin City.

No problem finding Ballindrum Farm as Mary's instructions were spot on. Wonderful welcome by Mary and her son Joseph, who served us delicious freshly made scones with cream and jam in their conservatory. Joseph entertained us by playing his tin whistle and chatted about his future musical career. The ground floor room was spacious and really suitable for us as we were travelling with our Cocker Spaniel, it was self contained and specially equipped for a disabled person. The Irish breakfast was one of the best we've had, Mike really enjoyed his generous portion of smoked salmon and farm fresh scrambled egg - just right for facing 3 hours on the Irish Sea. In a few minutes we were on the M9 and 1 hour later checking in at Dublin Port. Thank you for your hospitality.

We stayed at Ballindrum B&B for two nights while attending a wedding near by. It is well situated about 3 miles off the main motorway from Dublin and a couple of miles outside Athy. The welcome we received from owner Mary was great and she served us up with tea and fresh scones which were delicious. We told her where we were going at night and asked if she could advise a taxi company. She said she would just give us a lift as it was only a few miles away. The breakfasts were freshly cooked, including eggs from the farm and were well received after a couple of late nights. Mary also allowed us to check out late on the day after the wedding to get a bit more sleep. The bedrooms and very comfortable and we had a good shower which was a plus. I would recommend this B&B which…

I first visited this B&B 23 years ago shortly after they opened , many years on and the excellent standard remains. From a fantastic welcome by Mary, Vincent and their family to the spotless rooms and brilliant breakfasts this B&B has kept up with the needs of their guests. Very easy to find especially with the new road minutes away yet it still is a delightful place to spend some quiet time after a busy day sightseeing. We spent some lovely evenings sat outside mixing with other guests in the quiet countryside. Well located for visiting Wicklow Mountains, Dublin and Stud Farms, be sure to take a farm tour with Vincent on site. The rooms are spacious well equipped and most importantly very clean.Book here and you will not be disappointed. Great value for money. We are coming…
